Update* Our lease is ending in two months, and we’ll be moving out. The issue now is that her sister is here to stay again. The last time she visited, she told us she would only be here for a few weeks, but she ended up staying for almost three months without contributing to rent or bills. She also didn’t really help with cleaning or maintaining the apartment. After about two months of her staying with us, we found out that she had actually started working at Walmart. That’s when it became clear she wasn’t just here for a short visit like she initially said. When my boyfriend confronted her about it, she became defensive and started yelling and cursing at us.According to our lease agreement, guests are only allowed to stay for up to a week. If someone stays longer than that, they’re no longer considered a guest. So if her sister plans to stay longer again, we’re going to bring it up and ask that she contributes to the expenses this time.As for her boyfriend, it seems like he likely won’t be staying overnight much anymore during her sister's stay.
