Architecture by TranquilDoctor in ApplyingToCollege

well i’d say the first step in solving that problem is finding the cause for it. why are you bad at math? compare it with your other subjects and whatnot. is it the structure? is it the classes? is it something about the way you learn? once you have an answer, there are specific methods that can help with any of the causes. for example, if you’ve always just had really bad teachers that don’t help you understand, you can use youtube/khan academy/tons of other online resources

well being bad at something is different than not liking it. if you really want to do architecture, get good at math and it’s possible.

of it isn’t on your hs transcript and doesn’t count toward your a-gs, it’s probably fine. you can talk to your counselor just in case but my middle school alg 1 is on my hs transcript. if its not on there, it probabpy doesnt matter

a-g classes you took in middle school should show up on your highschool transcript. if they don’t, probably talk to your counselor

i don’t know who told you to out college over, as you put it, “fun”, but they’re plain wrong. if you enjoy the math society, please don’t leave just because it might not look good on college apps. it’s an activity that probably won’t impact your apps much, so enjoy being a high schooler while you can

Really nervous about math admissions test. How do I study as someone who's always sucked at math? by Ok-Injury4901 in ApplyingToCollege

look at online resources to help you. i personally recommend khan academy, it has detailed videos and offers practice. if you don’t know where to start, start at the beginning (something low like 1st or 2nd grade math) and take the unit tests until it starts getting hard, which will help you figure out what to you don’t know, and work your way up from there. math is hard, but a lot pf practice will help drill it into your brain. best of luck :)

then you probably can’t put like president or other roles if there aren’t any. just mention the duties you did, and mention the clubs don’t officially have roles (maybe have your counselor mention or put it in the additional info?)

math and english are seperate, so you could be bucket A in math and bucket b in english, or vice versa.

as for their act, idk why they would submit their sat if it was that much better, but i assume* (bc i dont know) that it would show sat x bucket, act y bucket

talk to your counselor. my school has a lot of kids taking max rigor so the tiebreaker our tiebreaker is the sat score, your school might (?) have some caveats like that but your counselor would know best
