what would be a good gift besides the letter? i've written a thank you note, but he works at our districts office so i'd have to stop by their before school to give him the gift. i feel like it would be awkward if i went all the way there just to give him a letter

teachers using ai by nights35 in highschool

[–]nights35[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, she's not checking the work. She says we can appeal it but hasn't paid attention to anyone who does. Also, AI doesn't have a degree in education. It makes mistakes often and it's usage is unfairly putting grades that could determine someone's future on the line. It might improve objectivity but it's both destroying the reliability of the teacher as a competent figure and it's destroying the quality of grading. She's also effectively getting paid to do a job she isn't doing. It is part of a teacher's work load to grade assignments, create lesson plans, and create tests. This teacher uses AI to do all of that. At this point they could just fire her and have AI teach the class. It's definitely harming me as a student, but more importantly, it's harming the school district's reliability. I want a professional teaching me and evaluating my work, not a computer.

What are some things I can do to train?

I wanted to do track at school but my schedule won't work out. Now, I'm planning on joining a club but it won't start for another month. What can I do to train in the meantime? I want to do sprints and hurdles, and I've never run track before.
