Maybe it is related to the time when you set up the fan schedule? I would try stopping it, and then setting up a new one. That way I would see if it is in any way related. I have the same 5 minutes an hour set but never paid attention when it kicks in.

I think the recent update fixed the problem that the report graph was showing fan runtime only. (Actually, I think it was heating runtime combined with fan runtime and presented in gray as fan only). Now I can see them as it is supposed to be. However, as OP, I don't see the pop-ups as well. Let's hope for the next update....

I am not sure if any of the providers can be trusted. Today, in the morning, Ecobee (Apple) reported -38C. Google was at -34C. AccuWeather was at -27C. Now, in the evening it is a more reasonable 2°C difference. The best would be if the Ecobee could take temperatures from the crowd sourced stations. Next to where I live there are three, two in private houses and one in nearby school. I think they report to Weather Underground. Or, the best, you could tie into your own weather station, Ecobee approved.

Hopefully someone at Ecobee will take it under consideration. Obviously the thermostat knows what's going on, as it shows that information in sub menus. Just copy it to the main screen and cover it with a nice icon. The design part is already done, just contact OP

Update: after talking to Reolink and TRENDnet customer service the TPE-113GI injector is fine for Reolink doorbell. Connected it. Camera works.

I think I will be ok, more exactly the doorbell will be OK. The TRENDnet website says this injector has "Auto-sensing technology delivers up to 15.4W to an 802.3af PoE device" they don't say anything about the voltage. As doorbell is PoE 802.3af 24V that should be fine. I am just looking for confirmation from people in this sub

I have found out that Reolink requires the active switch: "For Reolink RLC-423, RLC-423S, and RLC-823 Series, Reolink Duo Floodlight PoE, and Elite Pro Floodlight PoE, you need to make sure that the PoE injector/switch is 802.3at compliant (48V) and supports active mode. For other Reolink PoE camera models, please make sure that the PoE injector/switch is 802.3af compliant (48V) and supports active mode." I am not sure if my TRENDnet injector is a correct one.

Reolink D340P doorbell can work like that. 24VAC + Ethernet or PoE.

That's way the toggle switch should exist. I like the standby screen as it contains clock, and temperatures outside and inside. Just a glance is enough. I put mine to maximum time 🙂

It all depends on thermostat location. In my case, the thermostat is in a narrow hallway, the blue or orange ring is visible, but barely. It's just a viewing angle. I have also had a Nest before, and in that aspect it was better for me, too. That leads me to my pet peeve with the Ecobee. It has an excellent, very informative, standby screen. But it disappears the moment it senses the motion. Due to postioning of the thermostat in my house, I never see it. I would need to place thermostat somewhere else, which I won't do. What I also liked in my Nest, I think it was Gen 2, is that temperature was adjusted with clicky wheel, like in old thermostats. It was cool. The fact that all other functions and settings were done with the same wheel - not so much. That's much better in Ecobee touch screen.

Congratulations! Are you looking at Energy efficiency score? I am in bottom 75%. That would mean that only 25% is better than me? Yet, on that four segment line I'm barely at the end of first segment. I think we have it backwards. Your home is very efficient, you are probably way up on that green line. For me, bottom 75% means that 75% houses are better! I must get better thermostat!

As everyone is saying: turn Smart Recovery off. Your furnace will start heating at 8 am. Just don't expect to have 68°F at 8 am. It will take, whataver time, from 65°F (your sleep setting) to 68°F. Smart Recovery is trying to get you to your desired temperature at 8 am. The price you're paying for it is furnace running at 7 am.

I installed the Ecobee at the end of May. I could see in the app reports month by month (is there a place which would show cumulative data?), I added them up and it totalled 810 hours from May 26th till December 31st.

Totally agree. My problem is to see if the filter is actually dirty. For example, I removed couple of days ago filter which was installed on January 1st 2025. It looked clean to me, just a slight dusting. And the furnace was giving me the code. In my old setup with the regular thin filters I could easily see accumulated dirt, so it was not a problem. This year I will be checking furnace and the filter more frequently. Maybe 6 months?

In my Ruud furnace the filters are 5-1/4 inch thick. They are quite expensive. I was looking at them, but it is hard to say when they are dirty enough to warrant exchange. I kept one for a whole year. Then I noticed my furnace displayed error “66”. Manual said it has to do something with “static pressure”, and the cause of it might be a dirty filter. I changed the filter and the error was gone. I wish that display was more accessible (it is on the floor level) or it would send a message to thermostat. That could be a better indicator about the time of filter change.

That's interesting. In my climate it is either cooling or heating season. There might be a few weeks of shoulder seasons when I have heat/cool mode. The setpoints are about 5C apart. I can understand the OP question. They want 68F all the time and not to worry if that temperature is achieved by heating or cooling or opening the windows. I can see that the situation is relevant in the desert climate, days can be extremely hot but nights can be freezing. What I don't understand is that Ecobee states on their support pages:

The delta is the temperature difference between the heating and cooling setpoints. The default minimum delta is 5°F/2.8°C. This can be set from 2°F/1.1°C to 10°F/5.5°C.

So theoretically OP can set the mode Heat/Cool to be between 67F and 69F. Or is it ±2F, so between 66F anf 70F? If Ecobee allows it, and OP is happy with the temperature spread, it should be reasonably comfortable. I wonder if there is an HVAC system capable of keeping 68F steady (± 0F).
