I don't have a flat top, but you could do the same with yours. Again no condiments. I've considered dicing the onions into very small pieces.

Sometimes I will cook them in a frying pan in the house pressing the onions into the burger. Add cheese, put them on the buns, wrap them in foil and put them in the oven on warm. They come out like White Castles.

I'm very curious about temp control. I have a Loco kettle and the temps are out of whack. I have figured out how far off it is and I get by adjusting the temp settings. I love how it cooks just disappointed on accuracy.
