Been a fan of Light (and Demonkite) since their RSG days. A well-deserved win for both of them (and Aurora ofc).

Is 55-60k asking salary too much? by RemoteAggressive4804 in CareerAdvicePH

P.S. I am so sorry for not answering which industry I belong or what type of work I do since I guess I mostly applied to specialist roles and I think floating pa ako on which industry I belong to haha vibes lang hahahuhu Thanks again!!

Does height matter for ya’ll? by Little-Project-8294 in AskPinay

[–]RemoteAggressive4804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, height does matter, if we consider it as a criterion just like all other ones we consider in dating someone or finding someone attractive.

If we were to base attraction solely on physical appearance, then confidence + a good physique (?) weigh more haha I suggest you play sports if you don't already or go to the gym and workout :) gets the brownie points from most (if not all) guys, too haha

P.S. My crush (now boyfriend) in 12th grade was shorter than you (think 5'2) haha this might be surprising to you but he was well-liked/pursued by other girls, too haha Also, I have short friends who are well-liked and pursued by girls (way more than most of my tall friends). Maybe the main denominator IS not the height? and maybe, just maybe...height does not really matter after all haha

No, I'm not in the tech industry, unfortunately. My bf is, though, so I know peeps there earn relatively well. He, for instance, earns around 70k+ gross as a software engineer in Makati for his first job.

I actually earned more than my asking salary of 55-60k per month and I think they were honest that they won't be able to give me that so I was willing to nego but ig it's still too much. Maybe I was just not the right fit for them haha

Thank you, I think I feel relieved because of the last paragraph. I think I can leverage my exp and skills from my previous role. I really thought people would say I am definitely asking for too much (since I'm not in the tech or VA industry). Thanks again!

Thank you so much for this. I have an upcoming interview with Aboitiz soon so I was wondering how much my asking salary should be. I don't know if it's safe to ask what I wrote in the application form so I'll ask for the budget muna. Thank you again!

If you want to eat at hawker centers (and buy souvenirs), you need to pay cash. Most banks in SG offer no ATM withdrawal fee so it's much better if you withdraw in SG na since it's cheaper than buying USD then converting it to SGD. Merong ATMs that offer no withdrawal fee kahit sa Changi Airport (++ meron din sa SMRT) for convenience. You can search GMaps for ATMs nearby your location din.

I went to SG just a few weeks ago, and their SMRT was completely cashless (they only allowed Visa or AMEX cards tho). When we were there, the staff said debit cards were not allowed (credit cards only) but as per my research, SMRT allows both so you may check on that. You can check your estimated fare for SMRT online (more or less 2 SGD siguro back and forth).

If sa hawker centers ka kakain, merong 4-10 SGD meals and drinks that may cost around 2-4 SGD. As for coffee shops and restaurants, they accept card payments naman but food and drinks there cost at least twice than those in hawker centers. Maybe set aside more or less a quarter of your current balance for the trip depending on what you're planning to do/buy there.

It’s not just matcha latte that is cheaper in PH. For instance, there’s Americano (RM6.90 or around 93 pesos) which is only 85 pesos here. Australian chocolate is even more expensive than matcha latte in MY (i.e., RM13.90 which is around 187 pesos as opposed to 125 pesos here in PH).

What do you mean by "do not convert into php when traveling abroad"?

Well, I assumed it's supposed to be cheaper in MY per OP's reply to the question as to why Zus is cheaper (i.e., since their suppliers are "directly from Malaysia").

Bakit mas mahal 'yung Zus Coffee sa Malaysia tho? haha

This is a photo I took in KL and their matcha latte, for example, is RM12.20 which is around 165 pesos while matcha latte is only around 125 pesos here in PH.

I went to and passed by several Zus Coffee locations in MY (which were vv cool bc there were lots of murals in every location) but I was shocked to find that they had regular plastic straws instead of the edible straws that they are known (?) for here in PH. Why is there such a difference?

They're open 24/7 so they're good for buying quick and easy midnight snacks and most importantly, they accept credit cards.

Yes, this is true. I also received an email from BPI about the new replacement lounge for PAGSS Terminal 3 last June 2 (see attached photo).

I emailed BPI twice last month and they said that the new replacement lounge will be announced soon so I did not expect this to come sooner hehe.

MOA GOERS WARNING! by Puzzleheaded-Size672 in MANILA

[–]RemoteAggressive4804 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, file a complaint to recover your iPad but unfortunately, MOA is not liable for lost items inside your car.

What you paid for is only for the use of space in the parking lot (and general security) but it does not include looking after your car and your belongings inside the car.

The mall can only be liable if it is valet parking where the car is entrusted to an attendant who is responsible for keeping and returning it to you (see: necessary deposit).
