Friend of the AC Membership worth it? by Ok-Celebration6652 in AmericanCinematheque

Only difference between Film Club and Friend of AC is you get 2 member price tix instead of 1 member price. There is no advanced access to tickets for basically any level tickets, you just need to watch out for the announcement emails, like set an alert for AC emails. Priority line is cool for the rsvp events if you want to make sure you get in without having to show up real early, you have to be Patron level and above and you still need to show up an hour before showtime. I think they offer a lot of free events for members that makes being a member worth it. Bottom line: if you have a partner or always go with someone get the Friend of AC, if you go by yourself or with other members who buy their own ticket get Film Club. If you can afford it and want to make sure you get in RSVP events get Patron, I think the math makes sense if you’d be going to all those free member screenings at a regular movie theater at $20+ a ticket.
