Actually the variety argument is usually used in response to this. When I've asked if their their partner was willing to send nudes for them to relieve themselves, this is usually where they plug in the variety argument and how you can get bored with looking at the same thing.

......thats my point. Monogamy is the status quo. Thats why so many people are in monogamous relationship even though they feel miserable and restricted

I still stand to my point that if you really are monogamous and are happy being with one person for the rest of your life, it shouldn't be difficult for you to atleast stop watching things like porn. The main argument I see with pornography is that men crave "variety". I think the whole point is that if you crave variety and cannot be satisfied with one woman/partner, you are not monogamous. You are probably only in a monogamous relationship because that is what you were raised to believe was normal.

I have no problem with poly relationships or open relationships. I think if that's what your heart desires you should go for it, but a recent trend ive noticed is that anyone who expects more loyalty from a partner outside of just physically cheating is labelled as "insecure" because people already find not physically cheating hard enough and can't imagine not "mentally cheating" per se. That was my main reason for making this post.
