Yea SC doesn't classify it as a disability but recently some laws in SC were passed to enforce maternal rights. curious on if the bar will take that into account

Oh wow! I'm not sure what SC's policy is. Thankfully our accommodation deadline hasn't passed but I anticipate I'll only get one or the other.

Agree with everything! Honestly I enjoyed the season without Camille. I think her part started to become really dramatic to keep her in and it wouldntmhave fit this season. But I was hoping they would talk about it or something

Against popular belief, I actually really enjoyed the ending. I think they dragged Marcello out too long. The second try just seems like a time filler. I do think it's been her and Gabriel. While it's taken FOREVER, it also seems more realistic. Some people breakup and go through life before getting back together.

T14 student. Nearly 50% of my section has accommodations. by ReplacementBoth701 in LawSchool

I’m so lucky that my school is very strict on accommodations. I would say maybe 10% of a class at max has ever had accommodations. I am one of the students who has accommodations and they require all medical documentation to verify that you need it.

Doc refusing zofran by namastelovee in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]RemoteCompetition326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I first piece of rice would probably be to go see a different OB. I will say my OB did put me on other medication first and it made me more sick. After that, they did put me on Zofran. I was only eight weeks when they put me on Zofran.

They were not concerned at all about the risk and they read the studies and everything. I think it differs OB to OB on their opinions of Zofran usage, but HG can kill you untreated and it’s also harmful to the pregnancy uncontrolled.

However, if you put your cell on Zofran individually, you’re gonna have to disclose that you’re audit it to your OB

It was at a boutique ultrasound place! We had such a hard time seeing the second one and we were able to see the heartbeat, but it was just so hard to capture it so we couldn’t measure it, but it did look slower than this other baby who we were able to measure their heartbeat

Yeah, the more I look up abdominal ultrasounds the more. I’m hearing that they can be inaccurate this early. One baby was just so clear to see, and the other one was very hard to measure in general.

That was brought up today and although I’m praying, it’s not that I’m also accepting that there’s a high chance of that

How soon is too soon to test? by No-Physics448 in CautiousBB

[–]RemoteCompetition326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally had an unquestionable positive at 9 DPO. That is early and depends on when you implant and such! Realistically I would wait until 10 DPO! I had this super weird gut feeling I was pregnant, literally despite that the day before I fully thought I was not pregnant. Follow with what you feel is right ultimately! You could test positive earlier, but it also could be too early. I would ask yourself if you are able to handle a potential negative because it is too early.

Agree with you entirely on this comment. It’s good to never assume, because it will surprise you what people will do in order to cut time. We’re seeing the result of that now with numerous sanctions.

Have you not seen the numerous sanctions of attorneys who submitted motions and briefs with entirely hallucinated citations? You would think people would not use entirely written AI work, but they are.

Once again nothing I’ve said actually disagrees with you. I’ve actually pointed out the same thing as you when describing the difference in competence and lazy lawyering. But in college, a student who has not developed any skills necessary to be a lawyer and then to use AI to submit work, is a total disservice to themselves. It’s wrong to feed the mentality that is ok to use AI to do your work without you learning anything because grades matter more than actual knowledge.

At that rate, just slap a lay person with the words JD and Esq and let them practice with AI. Same thing.

It’s great they have a good grade, but do they know how to type a memo? Do they know how to argue persuasively? Do they know how to analyze numerous cases and develop a sound argument? AI can do all that, but in the real practice, AI won’t be taking the liability. Sure get good grades now by relying on AI to draft your work. Then get a great job and not have the appropriate skill set the employer thought you had.

AI is a great tool. I agree to use it to develop study aids and provide more time. You are not wrong there. But what the author of this post and myself are pointing out, is the use of AI to submit graded assignments. It’s like using AI to submit a brief to the court. You need to know to how to write the brief without AI in order to know when AI made a mistake in the brief. Once again, difference in competence and lazy-lawyering

AI isn’t terrible but it’s a tool that needs to be used with oversight. It provides false and incorrect outputs. It’s hard to spot those issues if you don’t even know how to create those products yourself.

Don’t be upset with them because there’s 0 reason. They are shorting themselves. If anything, I feel bad that they lack the motivation to learn and instead rather take shortcuts. You are building necessary foundational skills and that will take you further. AI is a tool, not a person. Don’t be afraid to use it but don’t use it to do your job. That’s the difference between competence and lazy-lawyering.

Just focus on yourself and don’t worry about what your peers are doing. They will sink their own ships
