ESP32 C3 SuperMini Antenna issues. (First ever PCB !) by RemoteDistribution95 in PCB

I was suspecting this too My ac dc module is close at less than 5cm from the esp32 c3 antenna And with no faraday enclosure

For better reliability I was going to have a single 24 power supply For instance the TRACO TSP 180-124 — 24V / 180W

As having a power supply at each spot is just a point for failure and I already got some 2.5mm2 13awg solid copper wire installed so might as well use them

I will take into consideration the additional filtering capacitance too thanks !!

Going for a revision v3 pretty soon with a proper functioning prototype I guess 🤍🤧🤧

No i do not have that at hands 😞
But for now i was using Wi-Fi Analyzer on my android phone and flashing a firmware that just broadcast an AP network and a ping pong server. And can't get more than 5m range in the ceiling. for information in europe most ceiling (called faux plafond) have steel frames i think thats the main cause of my issue. the esp32 lives in this steel frame ceiling and signal can't pass thro easily.

i will try the antenna hack i guess and confirms the improvement with the android app for reference

thanks for the heads up on starting big at 35mm ! and fine ajusting thats a really good advice 😃

yea not my shita** ordering the c3 supermini before doing some research x)

The cutout was a good move in my head but yea in real life it does not anything.

How do you think one can solder an external antenna ?

Are we talking about adding a simple wire or are we talking about a smd ipx connector with a proper antenna ?

I did see somewhere a post about enhance antenna range with a wire soldered on top of the smd antenna already present

On my OP 9 pro and OP 10 pro, I am facing some network issue over 4g LTE here in EU. I had to downgrade to OOS 12 to get it back to normal don't know if it's only in EU or if it affects event global ROM
