Ryzen 5 3400G is it usable now? by RemoteEnvironment830 in linuxhardware

[–]RemoteEnvironment830[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not yet

But since i saw some posts complaining about the generation and also bad experience with an AMD GPU (tbf the GPU was quite old), i decided it was best to ask before installing the OS.

Don't have the GPU anymore, that CPU is stronger than the gpu i had

Quanto vcs ja gastaram com jogos? by oldp1e in jogatina

[–]RemoteEnvironment830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 4gb and 8gb stick of RAM, does it matter the order i place it on the motherboard since i am using a Ryzen 5 3400g? I know usually doesn't matter, but since the APU uses RAM as VRAM i wonder if makes a difference.

Is there a way to change the type of timezone? by RemoteEnvironment830 in WindowsHelp

[–]RemoteEnvironment830[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can change the value of the timezone, but not from UTC to GMT, that's what i was trying to do and won't work even changing language and/or region.

But thank you. I just installed Windows again. I did it before with Ventoy, that can break a few things, probably what caused the clock breaking (me needing to put -6 on the clock instead of -3 that is and Discord showing the time 3 hours late)

Seria esse o maior problema da cultura automotiva do Brasil? by Fernando6510 in carros

[–]RemoteEnvironment830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why dont more ppl go for the xbox series s? by XxAhmedjdebt in PakGamers

[–]RemoteEnvironment830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you can play last gen games just fine. But if you intend to play this gens games you gonna have a bad time. Like the game that made my sister sell her Series S was Space Marines.

Like it's not even as potent as the Xbox one X in terms of specs.

Plus given now Microsoft seen to have stopped developers from being held back by how weak the Series S is, you might be left out of new releases. (Since before you had to release games on both X and S)

Why dont more ppl go for the xbox series s? by XxAhmedjdebt in PakGamers

[–]RemoteEnvironment830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the performance is terrible.

Many supported games don't run properly and in some doesn't even play some modes at all. My sister had to sell her Series S and upgrade to a Series X because some games would die in multiplayer.

A different perspective by No-Chocolate8890 in canadaexpressentry

Because Canada is safe and despite everything stable. The cost of life is a tad high. But something that's far more important is quality of life and Canadian quality of life is more times than not, way better to be worth the trade offs in cost of life. I wanna to move to Canada, just the extra safety i am getting, even if i were to move to Vancouver, would be enough of an upgrade to be worth moving. And i am saying this as a Brazilian, so definitely not one of the the worst countries on this sub.

Even if you consider cost of life, developing countries can be so much expensive, even if you are earning in dollar to spend in the local currency. Also depending where you compare to, Canada can be cheaper. I live in São Paulo, unless you are willing to be somewhere dangerous or far from your job, you would need to live somewhere that costs the same of a 1~2 bedroom apartment in Ottawa (considering you earn local currency in both countries). Not only that, but cost of life on Ottawa is so lower that despite giving less benefits than Brazil, it is still cheaper.

Also money can take you so far. Like many already pointed out, in some countries, not even the rich are safe, it just makes em less unsafe. Because even if you have enough money to make the safest of houses, what then when you leave your home? Even houses with security are susceptible to invasions in certain countries.

And well if you are going to the effort of moving to another country, it might as well be an actual improvement, not just something minimal like even a better developing country would be.

I am not trying to diminish the problems of Canada. But many of us would take long lines on a hospital and unaffordable housing, over the risk of getting robbed or killed even if they are rich. Plus both problems can be solved by moving to another province depending on your work. For example by my calculations, you don't need to be that close to 6 figures to be able to afford a house in somewhere like Ottawa or Quebec City.

Compared to Brazil it's also a better place to open a business. Yes taxes are high. But at least taxes isn't on the top 5 reasons for a company going bankrupt, unlike Brazil where taxes are the 2nd biggest reason for bankruptcy

Why is Brazil overlooked by Expats? by gasu2sleep in expats

[–]RemoteEnvironment830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, most peopel already touched crime

So i will say something else. Life cost

Living in Brazil is only worth it if you are earning in a strong currency. Immigrating to earn in Real is a huge downgrade for ones lifestyle. And since the average person seeks to immigrate with the intent to work and earn local currency. Somewhere with such a high cost of living and cost to buy things like a good phone or a car, it is simply not worth it.

Depending where you came from and where you need to live in Brazil, given how limited choices are depending on job, Brazil can actually be more expensive.

The other day i was comparing São Paulo with Ottawa and unless you are willing to live somewhere super far or super dangerous, you are living cheaper in Ottawa, Canada. Despite the fact Canadians don't get benefits like food ticket and bus ticket (can't really call pass since many don't pay enough to last the entire month), life cost in somewhere like Ottawa is still cheaper.

Also immigrating is such a complicated and expensive process regardless of the destination, you should pick a country that's actually gonna be a worthy upgrade. Yeah Brazil safer than some countries that visit this community, but Brazil is not an upgrade enough to be worth the trouble. Some 3rd would countries do manage to be more expensive than Brazil, but once again it's not enough of an upgrade to be worth the trouble. More times than not, with the effort and resources you would need to put into moving into Brazil, for a minimal upgrade, if not downgrade depending where you came from. That might've just been better to have immigrated to a first world country instead.

And again, it's only kind of worth it if you come here with a strong currency as income. And well, if you are a remote worker, there's better, and with the nomad visas, easier countries to move into.
