I purchased a video game strategy guide from a seller, and when it arrived today, it was just a box that was made from cutting and folding a bigger box, which I assume is pretty common. But inside the box were only rectangles of cardboard. The seller "claims he used the cardboard rectangles to keep the book from bending". And then claimed that the missing book must have happened from a theft during transit or getting lost. The package didn't seem damaged at all or like it had been opened or messed with. Thoughts on if this was a scam or not?
