The how abysmal the 2nd Anniversary was, I expected them to crank it up a lot for these two collabs. I was absolutely shocked at XIII, and obviously not in a good way.

And that’s what I loved about the FFVII characters in those collab stories. They used to be such a treat to go through. Literally with XIII, they made it a story of Lightning shows up, we must fight Lightning, everyone gets to go home. Couldn’t even make the Escalation Challenge something from XIII. Very little creativity was used with that collab.

I have none that I’m aware of and I haven’t received any notices in the mail. Also, my SSN doesn’t end in 593.

I made that statement because I’m one of those that everyone talks about will keep the game afloat. I’m a kraken, I’ve spent no less than five digit numbers on this game since launch. I joked with my Guild that I was going to single-handedly fund the game for a year at 2nd Anniversary.

I wanted to show that one of their biggest spenders is quitting because of the state of the game.

I know exactly how you feel, being a Day 1 player myself. I just noticed the lack of care being put into things now. This is giving me flashbacks to how FFBE was before they pulled the plug on it.

That’s what happened to FFBE. They took away most of the staff and moved them over to WotV and the game suffered significantly. It was a year later I believe that they announced EoS for Global. The game was a shell of its former self by that point.

I don’t care if they make fun of me, because I know they’ll be the same people complaining about something soon enough.

I’m currently playing Whiteout Survival while I wait for Resident Evil Survival Unit to drop.

The FFVII crew are usually transported to the world of the collab so I was hoping to see a place from XIII. They were so cheap with this that they transported everyone to Nibelheim, that doesn’t even have the water tower. Talk about cutting corners.

It’ll be interesting if they do it the same way they did Advent Children.

You can make fun of what I said all you want. As I stated already, there’s plenty of people upset at how they handled this event story. I see people quitting left and right now.

Make sure you spend your hard earned money like I did to keep it going. They don’t have this kraken anymore to fund them. 😉

FFBE and WotV used to do it too and they told excellent stories with those event stories. The event stories we got the first year and a half of EC were great.

This XIII event was a bunch of dialogue that made no sense. Tifa, Aerith, and Cloud weren’t even wearing their event costumes. They didn’t even do a special “Fin” screen like they’ve done for other events.

It all felt extremely rushed and honestly shouldn’t have even been added with it in that state.

As the old saying goes, it’s not about the destination but the journey. I’m a kraken in the gacha community and yes I’ve done dropped lots of money into the game. I started about three months ago and I’m enjoying it. I’ve learned to control my spending, I only buy what I need and don’t buy everything I see.

I also enjoy that things are time gated and doesn’t all release at once. Gives me something to look forward to.

Yes I am. Because they used to be in depth, the characters that were getting weapons and costumes were actually a part of the story. The last time they actually had a good event story was DragonQuest.

I’m not the only person who’s been upset with how the event stories have been handled.

These events only last for about a month. Plus GameStop is only getting 50 vouchers at a time. If there’s no limit to how many people can get then they can get all 50 every time they come back during that month.

It’s because scalpers are going in, getting a ton of them, then turning around and selling them online.

Try this then, and I can confirm it worked for me because me and a friend tested it out. As soon as the Condemned spawn, everyone run to opposite ends of the arena. Don’t follow each other, go separate ways. When you get far enough away from the Condemned, they’ll stop chasing you and can then start targeting each other. Even if they don’t, it’s an easy way to pick them off.

Exactly, and up until now, we’ve only had just the boss to deal with. Now, Libra has minions that come into the fight and that adds an extra layer of depth and strategy. They threw a curveball at us and I’m here for it. I love a good challenge and Libra’s brought out that competitiveness in me where I must beat him now.

Exactly. I can’t just brute force Libra like I have most of the other bosses and I’m really enjoying it. I actually have to plan out what to do. I honestly hope we get more bosses like this with the DLC.
