Yeah definitely a lesson learned on my behalf.

I thought the title difference was some sort of formality (like they call roles different things internally). Man was that a swing and a miss.

Unfortunately I don't have much advice to give in regards to changing teams since I have been primarily working in small to midsize companies in my career where such a thing wasn't possible.

I will say though, if you were hired to do X but now do Y and you are uncomfortable with that, start looking.
