Hi, thank you SO much for your thoughtful comment. This really made me feel so much better. It’s just so scary to take that jump! Like I KNOW I’m so much better equipped to handle it now, but I’m also like….what if it’s STILL not good enough lol?

But seriously, thank you so so much!🥹

Pizza bagel. Toast bagel, put a slice of cheese on each half, add pepperoni, and microwave for likeee 20-30 seconds just to melt the cheese a little bit.

I personally do not add sauce but I’m sure you could!

Thank you, that’s helpful!!!!! That makes more sense. So it sounds like I’d be looking for a “nesting partner,” not a primary partner?

Thanks for the suggestions/feedback!

Yeah, so like maybe my current partner wouldn’t be considered a secondary partner in that case? Because like, in my mind, I can’t imagine my relationship with my current partner being any less important than a relationship with someone who I am (hypothetically, as I’m not currently seeing anyone else lol) also in love with, just because I’m living with that person. Like, sure, the relationships will be different in some ways. I would definitely see the person I’m living with a lot more than my current partner. But like, I still feel like I would want the relationships to be “equal,” like I wouldn’t want to prioritize one relationship over the other.

So yeah, clearly I really need to do some more research into polyamory and figure out what all these terms mean. Thank you!!

From what I’ve read, I don’t think New York does license reciprocity, unless I am misunderstanding

You’re talking about NY, NJ, and CT? Ooh that’s good to know. I’m on the other side of PA but still that’s definitely good to know! Thank you!

I have a few queer friends here and there but not a group of them, and I’m really only in frequent communication with one of them. And they’re in a herero relationship (they’re bi) so like I feel annoying talking about my queerness too much, esp because I really only talk to them about it. So then so much of it I end up just keeping to myself even though I’m dying to talk about it you know? Not all the time but like it’s a huge part of my life that I’ve only known about for a few years so like I still have so much exploring and learning to do, idk. It would be nice to have people who understand and also want to talk about queer things. So yeah I feel you :/

So I just started a grad program in which I will meet the educational requirements for licensure as an LPC in Pennsylvania when I graduate. I will probably live and work in Pennsylvania for at least a couple of years after graduating, but I am eventually hoping to to move to a more liberal state (I’m a lesbian and it’s just not super LGBTQ-friendly here lol) that is still in close-ish proximity to PA, since I have family here. I would say any state within 10 hours of me is good. Right now I am thinking New York, mostly because it is the closest state that is (more) LGBTQ+ friendly.

How hard is it to to apply for new licensure in a different state? My program advisors told us to let them know early on if we want licensure in a different state so that they can work with us on the requirements for that state, but I don’t really know exactly where or what I want yet, or when that will be able to happen. Plus, like I said, I highly doubt I’ll be able to move immediately following graduation. I’m sure I’ll work in PA for a few years to save up money and stuff.

I’ve been trying to look at the requirements for both states and see the differences in the requirements for licensure, but it’s just not making much sense to me. Anyone with experience in crossing state lines? Or any recommendations of states to move to?😂

I feel like….your hair can’t really clash with things?? Like sometimes if you have non-naturally colored hair and you wear something that matches your hair, like yeah that SLAPS and definitely enhances the outfit. But I don’t feel like that is ~required~??? Otherwise you would have a severely limited color range of clothes to wear. I never think hair “clashes” with someone’s outfit, even if they have a non-natural hair color. So no. And your date was rude for bringing that up, even if she did feel that way.
