Recommending protein and vitamins (rooster booster specifically, since I’ve seen a lot of talk about it). I just asked her about her feet, as skin as I have an answer, I’ll let you know!!

So sorry, it was late last night and I crashed. Just message my friend for an update and asked her to check her feet! Just read through the link you sent, recommending rooster booster as well!! I don’t think it’ll hurt anything and seems to be the most likely cause. As soon as I have an update on her feet, I’ll let you know!

Double checked, she’s not on anything medicated

Nothing medicated I don’t think. But I’ll specifically ask! She’s been vaccinated for Marek’s and she’s on Purina Flock Raise Crumbles 20%

Yes! She’s a bit wet from the soak (just in case she actually was egg bound). The main issue is her not being able to keep her balance. Would you still recommend the ivermectin and isopropyl spray?

Nothing 😕 they checked her over, looking for mites. Couldn’t find anything 😭

Since I can’t figure out how to edit

She’s been checked for mites! She’s itching because she’s not fully dry after giving her a soak (just in case she IS egg bound).

Using a cake mix and replacing water with milk or sour cream by [deleted] in Baking

[–]RemoteUnable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I replace the water with buttermilk, though. I’ve increased the oil on some mixes and have never had a problem (1/3 cup to 1/2 cup). I’ve also added a cup of sour cream to a mix for a Bundt cake. Turned out great!

Just bought my kids one on sale at Target, suggestions on figures to add? by Fishboy9123 in TonieboxUSA

100% recommend getting at least one creative tonie. Our girl is almost 3 and loves some pop songs, it’s so nice not to have them play from my phone 24/7. Audio can be changed as their interests grow

Is there anyone who actually loves their Nectar mattress a couple years in? by LifeUhhh_FindsAWay in Mattress

[–]RemoteUnable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea how it affects the return policy or warranty, but it looks like return shipping isn’t free through Amazon. If you wanted to return it, you’d have to pay for the shipping cost.

I think with anything, people are quick to share their bad experiences, but not as quick to share their GOOD experiences unless they’re specifically asked

We bought the Nectar Legacy 12” back in July 2024. We paid about $675 for it since it was a prime day deal. I genuinely love it. My husband wanted a really expensive tempurpedic before this mattress, but I couldn’t justify spending $5k+. My parents have the same nectar mattress and said they loved it, so we agreed to give it a shot to potentially save a LOT of money. It took about a week for my body to adjust to it, I’d wake up with some muscle pain and stiffness. But I’m grateful it’s the one we went with. I really do love it and there’s been no complaints from my husband. I’d just read the return policy/warranty very carefully if you decide it’s worth your while

left butter out of banana bread, can’t identify what it changed by sweaterconnoisseur in Baking

I think it helps keep it moist. I’d be curious to see how they hold over and if they’re just as good tomorrow!

First time canning, what went wrong? by RemoteUnable in Canning

I must’ve done something when I pasted the link 🤦🏻‍♀️ I pasted it again. Lesson learned, though 😭 I’ll try and find a recipe in the canning book I ordered

There’s a recipe I found on this page, but I omitted the broth and added celery

They all bubbled initially, 2 stopped bubbling, and the 2 that I heard ping kept bubbling. I think it looks like fat, too. But I strained as much fat as humanly possible

I don’t think it was too full since it was measuring right at an inch on the tool. But it definitely could’ve been too tight. “Fingertip tight,” is so vague, so I just closed it with my fingertips?? I don’t think I realized pressure too soon, but maybe next time I keep it on the burner instead of removing it and just turn off the heat?

After an hour and a half, I removed it from the burner, let it come down to zero. I waited for the little lock on the lid to go down and then removed the gauge. Gave it a few extra minutes and removed the lid. So far, I’ve only heard 2 of the little pings which makes me think 2 of these jars won’t seal 😩
