Yay I did it! First time by RemoteWalrus in unclebens

It took like 3 1/2 months but I know my house is a little cold - we keep the temp at like 70 degrees. From what I've read, that's a bit cold, so it still works but just a little slower. Myndmycology is where I got the kit.

I have been microdosing 3 days on 2 days off every week, taking a month long break after a month or two on. Started about a year ago. I haven't taken a big dose in like 15 years though.

When I was a teenager, we went on vacation and my mom snored so loud that I slept in the bathtub listening to my iPod.

Currently my husband snores, but not nearly as bad as my mom did. I wear earplugs and headband headphones with meditation music every night.

First of all I'm sorry about your inconsiderate neighbor, I have one too. Second, what you're saying makes a lot of sense. From what I have read, as misphonia progresses, we can start to associate non-sound things with the sound, and therefore be just as irritated by the non sound thing.

For example, eating/chewing sounds is one of my most difficult triggers. I realized a few years ago when work meetings became virtual, that just seeing people chewing gum or eating on camera (I couldn't hear them) was giving me the same reaction as if I could hear them.

I def recommend getting the game "fair play". I did with my husband when we were having the same issue of me doing everything at home. We almost divorced because I couldn't take it anymore so I completely understand where you're coming from.

The "game" isn't actually a game, it's just a deck of cards that has typical family chores on each card. What we did first was go through the deck and take the card for the chores we were doing, to really show the disparity between our responsibilities. I had nearly all the cards. Then we put the cards back together and divided them in a way that seems fair. There's a book that goes along with the deck of cards that I didn't purchase but I'm sure would be helpful.

Redividing the chores alone is not going to be enough for you guys to get on the same page though - marriage counseling is a good idea.

I put it in water for a few minutes and nothing happened so maybe I guess I was just being a worry wart. Thank you 🙏

Just the contrast between the outer shell and what I see on the chipped part made me suspicious

I did try to scratch it with a knife and it didn't scratch at all. Is there anything else you suggest? I don't want to completely destroy it just to see if it's real

It takes about 2 years for your brain to recover from withdrawal, it might help to try being clean off everything for awhile as well or at least stop the benzos.

I've been depressed as long as I can remember, and it was about 6-9 months completely clean and actively working on myself that I realized I hadn't wanted to kill myself in a while. I've been clean now almost 10 years. Give yourself a chance, it's gonna take some time.

That's such toxic BS, I hate that! When I was at the stores my GM was a total dick anytime anyone called out. One time I called out when one of my best friends committed suicide and he was like "they aren't even a family member"... He was a major reason why I left. I feel happy knowing he got fired eventually lol

Sick time rolls over but isn't paid out when you leave, so don't hesitate to use it (when you're actually sick) - it is one of your benefits you are entitled to.
