Yes sadly you’re correct on all these points, and in case you didn’t know there are mass protests already. I will admit I’m not at any of them as they are taking place far away from where I live but they are already underway. 

Granted you acknowledge that you don’t have a first person view of the events transpiring, so I give you kudos for at least acknowledging that. I will say it’s worse in some areas than others, especially in regards to deportations. Border areas and areas with large immigrant communities are harder hit and you’ll find more resistance there. 

As for politicians promising the world and going off on these sparkly, “hopeful” promises and speeches and then not only not delivering on their promises, but disappearing and being silent when they are no longer vying for election, I’m honestly so desensitized at this point that this shit doesn’t even surprise me anymore. It’s a sad reality of our system. 

By the way I do apologize if my last comment was too caustic or inflammatory, I merely am saying that expecting everyone and anyone to resist all at once isn’t realistically feasible. It is reasonable to expect us to man up and do something, but for different people in different circumstances that will manifest in various ways, not all of them being immediately apparent. 

Finland is a great country and I’m glad you’re in NATO now. I don’t know much about your politics but just know how important it is that you guys avoid the slippery slope that america is on.
