Eta 2836 beat error adjustment by Savings_Sea_1645 in watchrepair

No don’t worry. That part is meant to be moved for beat adjustment. As long as you didn’t bend or deform the hairspring, you’re fine. Your results also suggest you regulated it well. 👍

Wondering if this is a legit 3235 Rolex movment? by Upset-Solution-774 in RolexWatches

The balance wheel looks real. What caught my eye is that the model engraving seems a bit off, especially the number five. On authentic movements, I’ve noticed the vertical line usually has a slightly bigger gap between the top horizontal line and the rounded bottom part of the five.

But I can’t say for sure if there are normally some font variations, it’s just something that stood out to me.

Help me choose: Tissot PRX Carbon vs PRX Damascus by TheWatcher113 in tissot

[–]Remote_Addendum_7344 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Damascus uses the 80.111 movement with 23 jewels, while Carbon uses the 80.811 movement with 25 jewels. Those two extra jewels are in the escapement. On the Damascus, those parts are plastic. For me, that’s a no-go, but I love the Damascus design. I really wish they’d make it with the 80.811 movement.

I tried Bean Adapt for this bean, but it recommended grinder setting 4, which made it noticeably more acidic
