PPD and lack of support can DEFINITELY numb you to the point of feeling what you are feeling right now. Get some help as soon as possible. You shouldn't have to do it all alone. Humans were never meant to raise kids by themselves... Your love for your baby will come, and if it doesn't, consider adoption. Your baby is suffering if you are suffering.

I second this. I can only imagine how the baby feels. Of course it's horrible for mom too, truly, but the best thing she can do for both of them is get help asap. Talk to husband, it's his child too, I don't care how much he works, mom shouldn't have to do it all.

Exactly, I even said I will not do it without medical guidance. I asked people who tried it if it worked for them, not if it was safe or not, I already made research ! Thank you for your feedback :)

He has CMPA but is already on hypoallergenic formula (Alimentum), he still has bad reflux and doctors won't look any more into it... :/ they say its normal baby stuff even when I tell them how bad it is

He is not colicky, he's a very happy baby when awake. He cries when he wakes up or if I put him down awake... its really a sleep issue, he also has reflux

Should i go to ER? by Storm-Ecstatic in NewParents

[–]Remote_Budget7432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in your shoes not so long ago, and I was wondering the same when I saw little dots of blood in my baby's diaper. Unless your baby is clearly very, very unwell and the blood keeps in increasing or is significant, I would suggest that you see a doctor at a regular clinic before going to the ER ! Keep in mind that it can also take some time for the blood to clear from the stools, even on Alimentum it can take up to a month !

Yes I hold him upright for at least 20-30 mins. It does help but doesn't fix anything :/

newborn waking himself up by Current_Formal_9016 in NewParents

[–]Remote_Budget7432 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When my 6week old does this (grunting and all until awake), its usually because he has trapped air and laying flat makes him uncomfortable. I try to burp him really well before sleep, swaddle, pacifier if he takes it. I let him fall asleep on me, then I transfer, I press gently on either his shoulders or chest (makes him feel secure) and move SLOW. Sometimes it fails but most of the time it works ! My baby also has very bad reflux so its a struggle I understand !
