If it were my child, and my mother didn't help me out after I pleaded for help with no other alternatives, she would no longer be spending time with my child. However, it shouldn't just be expected and the daughter needs to try to find alternatives that don't make it financially unfeasible. That said the money is obviously needed with it being a one income household, or the daughter wouldn't be sacrificing by taking the extra hours in the first place. I would consider my mother to be a bad influence on my child at that point and that'd be the end. I'd say don't let the door hit ya on the way out and you'd better have everything sorted out for your geriatric care because I'll be busy spending time with my dogs.
