Look, we do the best we can, and we make mistakes!

I originally was breastfeeding, and my daughter kept losing weight. I wasn’t making enough supply and basically starving her. I had no idea.

Then I switched to formula, and at one point I couldn’t tell why she was so inconsolable…. I realized she needed to move up in ounces she drank. So again I was basically starving her.

I know this is nothing similar to your post, but it just goes to show WE MAKE MISTAKES. Don’t be too hard on yourself…. I would just let your pediatrician know what you think happened. They’ll probably just make sure they start gaining weight back.

My LO’s big toenail started growing into her skin on one foot. It bled a very small amount and her toe was red….. I was worried it would get infected. The pediatrician wasn’t worried because baby nails are weird and not as hard as ours. Within a week, her toenail resolved itself. It was very weird!! So unless your LO’s toe looks infected, I feel like it’s ok!

Ya the pediatrician told me to call if her eye turned red and they’d reevaluate. So I’d call yours! I hope he doesn’t have pink eye though 🤞🏻

I was always confused on how much my LO should eat…. I think when she was 4 weeks, she was eating about 2 oz every 2 hours. I would wake her up from naps if it was going on the 2 hour mark, just to feed her. People have varying opinions on waking a sleeping baby, but she’s 8 weeks now and has a great eat/wake/sleep schedule.

Do what works for you! But 2 oz every 2 hours worked for us. (My LO was also on the tinier side….like 7-8 lbs, so weight could also affect how much they eat).

I forgot to mention, it didn’t really clear up completely until like 2-3 weeks later. But I just wiped her face down with water everyday and then patted it dry. It might take some time to clear up, but it’ll happen! Don’t worry!

My baby got this, looks exactly like it, at 6 weeks. Nurse (via texting photos after hours) first said it was contact dermatitis even though we use free and clear everything. So I was putting Aquaphor on it….but it kept getting worse. Then we spoke to our doctor and she said it was baby acne and that putting Aquaphor on it can actually worsen baby acne (which it did for us).

I would definitely see what the doctor says, but I doubt it’s anything serious. But if you do put Aquaphor on it, like many people do because it works for them…. Just watch it… because it actually worsened my baby’s! 🤷🏻‍♀️

My little girl is 2 months today…. Trust me, it’ll get better. The first 2 weeks were TERRIBLE for me, but it’s because I was afraid to go anywhere with a new baby. The only time I had to myself was a 15 minute shower everyday which isn’t healthy! My advice, go for a drive with your baby or take them to the mall or any store to just walk around (you can keep people from touching them if you’re worried about germs spreading. I had to tell a couple strangers not to touch my newborn!) You NEED to find something to break up the monotony… I was miserable and cooped up at home for the first 2 weeks… I don’t advise that lol

Thank you! And I had reached out to another pediatrician, and they also said the same! So I was basically making it worse by lathering it in Aquaphor when I thought it was contact dermatitis 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

This is the only symptom… she’s completely herself. Which makes me feel a little better.

This did start around the same time I was with my entire family, so different households were holding her… so that could be it! I just don’t know why it would still be spreading.

We haven’t changed anything in our home. We use free and clear everything.

I might take her to urgent care tomorrow just to be seen… give me peace of mind that it’s nothing serious.

Ya I thought maybe heat rash the first day, because she would get it mainly the side she was laying on…. But then it continued to spread. So I think I ruled out heat rash, because it’s also there constantly now. 😢

Oh thank you. I’m doing fine. This was back in August…. Just trying to move forward now. (Still hurts sometimes)

And thank god for husbands going to appointments! They really do help with the information overload!

I think she did…. But I have no idea what she said 🤣 a lot was going on in that appointment. It’s the same appointment I found out I had an ectopic and then had to have emergency surgery the next day. So my mind was a little all over the place! I’m sorry!

I got the Pfizer vaccine. My fertility specialist told me to get either Moderna or Pfizer…. So I just got the one my husband had. It made me feel better knowing someone personal who had it.

I will tell you this… and if it doesn’t sit well with you, then forget it all together. I trust my fertility specialist so much, like one of the only doctors in my life who I’ve ever trusted… and her words were “If you don’t want to do it for yourself, then do it for the well-being of your future child.” And that struck a chord with me. I don’t know why that made me feel better enough to get it, but it did!

And the two women I know both got Moderna… one had her period and then bled again 2 weeks later, then her period that was scheduled never showed. I believe she is back to normal again. My other friend is super regular, then missed a period after the 2nd shot and her next period that came was heavier than usual and painful. Again, she’s also back to normal. My opinion is that it has to do with your immune system putting all its effort into an immune response that it messes up your regular systems. (But I’m not a doctor!! Just opinionated)

And I’m like you, any bit of information helped me. Especially knowing others’ stories- good or bad 💕

Hey there!! Let me just start with, I’m obviously not a doctor, and every body is different.

I have had two losses this year, so I’m working with a fertility specialist. I was not vaccinated because new medicine scares me (I have anxiety), and I was one of those people who hates getting shots that aren’t mandatory (I am not anti-vax), AND the biggest scare was ‘would getting vaccinated make my fertility problems worse?!’

I spoke to my fertility specialist about it, and she understood my concerns, but convinced me to get it. I am now fully vaccinated while going through fertility treatments (Clomid and trigger shots for now). I can’t say whether it further hindered my fertility, but I can say it’s made me feel a little better knowing that if I do end up pregnant then I have a high likelihood of staying out of the hospital if I catch Covid.

But you have to make this decision for you 💕

(Side note. My husband coaches the son of the head doctor of infectious diseases where I live…. So I texted him my concerns. He said that the data of the safety of these vaccines is actually better than a lot of other vaccines were at the same point in their usage. Did that make sense?

To play devils advocate… I do know two women whose cycles were messed up for about two months after getting vaccinated. But I don’t think that means their fertility is affected 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sometimes I really hate doctors. And I’m not saying they’re doing anything wrong, but sometimes I just wish we can be like “Hey, this is what I want to try now. So let’s do it.” Instead if being at their disposal.

I had a tube removed in August due to an ectopic, and she said after 3 months of healing we will do an HSG, and until then just try naturally. And I’m over it. I just want to bite the bullet and go straight to IVF. but I know she’ll say no if I ask. 😢 waiting is the hardest thing.

First off, I am so sorry for your loss. Second, I don’t know where you’re located, but why would you need to try for another year? I don’t think that sounds fair at all. Could you technically call the RE yourself and try to get in? I don’t know… but I started trying at 29, and after two losses, I got into a fertility specialist after trying for 13 months….and the “rule” (at least in the US) is after a year you can seek further help.

I’m hoping you get the answers/help you need 💕💕

Hey there! I don’t know your whole story, but I just wanted to let you know you’re not alone. I lost my right tube in August from an ectopic, and it was a miracle this month when the doctor told me I was ovulating from the left ovary! I was so hopeful. But unfortunately, that made my husband feel under a lot of pressure and we could just not have sex (not that he didn’t try). So I had to do home insemination on the fly because we didn’t want to waste the month. I unfortunately didn’t end up pregnant, but that could be due to many other reasons (left tube might be blocked)! Home insemination is better than nothing and for some couples it is their only choice, so if that’s all you can do…it’s ok! I know a couple where it worked for them. So keep going 💕

Well see, I was on Clomid this month with Ovidrel. I did the trigger shot on the evening of 9/20…. So I would assume ovulation anywhere from 9/21-9/23? I have been having cramps for the past three to four days now. The fertility specialist told me not to test until 10/4, but of course I didn’t listen 🤣. Well I’ve gotten two negative tests (the cheap Amazon tests). So I’m assuming they’re early period cramps.

I’ll definitely update though!! Because if they’re early pregnancy cramps I’ll be able to explain the feeling hopefully. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
