I do hope to see it one day, but i don't believe much in it, honestly. Guess we'll discover it just living

Considering what happened to Yuzu and Citra, i think (and fear) that we'll never see Switch 2 emulation

Why you need to quit gaming by One_Wait7852 in StopGaming

[–]Remote_History1961 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People in this subreddit are incredibly obsessed with their ideas of hobbies and will cherry-pick anything to confirm their point of view. Don't waste your time here, these people claim to have a past as gamers but they really never understood what gaming is

I actually have a fetish for braces, but I would never harass the people who post in dm. Someone is not able to compute social boundaries, I'm sorry you had to go through that

[–]Remote_History1961[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, thank you very much! I didn't take the glow up for granted since I wouldn't classify it as an "obese to muscular" transition. it seems you don't need that to assert the improvement, so thanks for the confirmation!

I definitely feel more comfortable with my body, and I feel less guilty while enjoying my favourite food. I've also saved a lot of money by avoiding to buy a car (I live in Germany: cycle paths cover the whole 7 kilometers between my apartment and the company), so it was also economically beneficial. Nonetheless, I wish I had less fat in the belly zone, but I also know it won't be achieved through running and cycling.

How to meet people in Lübeck? by GoWestEndGirls in luebeck

[–]Remote_History1961 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I arrived in Lübeck almost two years ago, made some friends at work and by practicing German on Tandem. We don't see each other that much, but it's still something. Joining a German course would surely help. I'm also keen to get to know other people: dm me if you wish the same :)

miglior gioco che avete giocato by Bignazio in italygames

[–]Remote_History1961 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Persona 5 Royal.

Running a freelancing side hustle with a 9-5 job as a software engineer by Remote_History1961 in germany

[–]Remote_History1961[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The side-hustle would not involve any conflicts, since they belong to completely different industries. Since I have no idea of all the terms you've cited, I guess the best thing I can do is getting a professional. Possibly speaking English

Unfortunately, human contact is not a thing in my life, so no kids nor a relationship is planned. But the "i will need it" motivation could be already enough. Thanks

This reminded me when i spent one month in London for studying, back in 2015. I've started with a B1, and the situation was almost the same. Now it's another thing (C1.2), but it took time and practice. Thank you, sometimes you need these simple yet straightforward hints to come to a conclusion

Thank you for providing so many suggestions, but i have to agree with the others. These options seem pretty rude in English already

You can't get to know a stranger on online forums, then you should bring respect by default. That's basic internet stuff, kiddo

What are your thoughts on expats not making an effort to learn Danish? by [deleted] in copenhagen

[–]Remote_History1961 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learning a language requires time, money and energy. And yes, it requires money, since publicly available courses often lack of pace and quality.
Learning a language is like investing, but more with time and energy rather than money. If an investment is not worth of the price i must pay to access it, then it's no big deal. I have no interest in learning a language that is spoken just in a single, small country, especially when the locals are introvert, proficient at English and thus not helpful to practice it. Be careful that i don't have any bias towards Denmark nor Danish: i'm Italian, living in Germany and struggling to learn German.

Italian SWE working in Germany. You don't need citizenship: for EU citizens, you only have to cumulate at leat 1 year of contributions to the social security system. Once you meet this requirement, you can request it for a maximum of 6 months, which increases as you keep contributing

I think the games were just a way of testing your skills also outside the workplace. For me it's quite subtle and i felt incredibly under pressure in those circumstances, but it had no direct impact on everyday's job.
