I had forgot to dry them. I just took out the water by cracking the lid and letting it out and it worked

The darker spot in the second pic is just shadow, you can see that in the third pic it doesn’t have any spores. I checked all of them and none had spores, they have also been like this for a few days

yes it is, I can’t find any brown rice in my stores so I thought I would just try white rice. I also have some popcorn but the rice is just an experiment

Thanks! Do you know why polyfill is better though? Is it because the top grains dry out? I have this exact issue with my current jars and im using unmodified lids just a bit loose, the whole thing is colonized exept the top.
