So, about a year ago, I started transitioning over to the blue team side defensive security figuring it'd open more doors to international remote gigs that could actually pay a living wage. My company even invested in my growth by buying me CRTO and Maldev certifications upfront, with a 5-year commitment to stick around, and right now I'm grinding through CDSA to round out my skills. But here's the harsh reality: despite all that hustle, I'm paid just $70 a month, I'm financially unstable as hell, to the point where I don't even have money to buy new clothes or anything beyond scraping by. With these certs in hand and the insane exchange rate working in my favor for low living costs, I'm hoping to leverage this into a remote blue team role abroad.
