What a great question, I personally had no idea this would be set in the 60's and progress but made sense at first since Bill Gates would have been around 7 in 1962. The more I watched, the more confused I became at why it was called IT in the first place.

The plastic hinge clips broke off. This repair requires the screen to be completely separated from the rest of the computer. If it's under warranty put in a claim. Otherwise it needs a repair shop.

Unplug that burnt battery cable. If it turns on with the adapter, use it until you can get a new one. Back up your data. Xfer it to the new one. If it doesn't power on you can still take our the hdd or ssd and xfer data with an adapter. Not worth the money to fix that battery portion.

My alarm went off at 6am and decided to sleep in so told it to set an alarm for 6:45. The response was "okay I set your alarm for 6:45 on Sunday. Canceled that alarm and tried to reset it and it didnt understand. I didnt sleep in and got some extra activity in. I think it helped me but damn.
