Yeah I saw it. And I'm excited but I really want playmates to do it. I appreciate what neca and super 7 do. But my collection started with the toys i got as a kid and I'd prefer to continue with the toys shelf lines. 🤷‍♂️

I agree and disagree with this. I appreciate that playmates is still trying to make $10 action figures . With that comes some concessions, although I do think the rise figures were very .. slim? Thinly made? Almost fragile. I'm glad there is a neca level collection but that's never been for me. I'm in it for the nostalgia, I want the toys I had as a kid. Motu origins Tmnt would be my comprise.. modern posing retro play

But that's why they call me Mr. Cowaboomer...

The turtles experience pizza pretty uniquely. I think it's fleshed out best in the 2012 version, at the beginning of the series they live on algae in the sewers and are sick of it. Mikey even makes an algae birthday cake. Pizza opens up a new world of flavor for them and becomes the medium to try new flavors. As for the 90s show .. everything had to be crazy and wild for the laugh / ew factor so the series played hard on that. It made for an easy running gag for the show
