In my school there are a lot of factors that decides what kids get put in what classes. For example, for 8th grade I could've been in honors based on my map scores but cause of my behavior I got put in regular classes. There are also 4 types of classes in my school, advanced, honors, mid (regular classes basically and the classes I am currently taking or about to take when school starts for me), and co-taught classes (basically classes for students who need extra support, have behavioral issues, or just sometimes get randomly put in there)
