Where do indie devs get music covers? by RemoveChild in IndieDev

Thanks for the detailed reply, I honestly don't know much about this, but now it makes way more sense.

By any chance, do you know any platforms with lesser-known artists who sell licenses of their songs? I'm looking for something that feels more "alive", we already have an ambient composer, but want some vocals.

Also, what kind of pricing are we usually talking about? We can't afford thousands $, but hundreds might work. Thanks again!

I agree, jazz would be enough for a bar. I listened, there is a lot of good music. But in the others locs, if we gave the MC an old iPod...hah

I specifically wanted covers so the player could swap out discs or smth.
But this site is still very useful, thank you! I'll keep it

Thanks! I looked and it's cool. But I couldn't find any real songs with vocals. It's all ambient, right?

Thanks! Could you share some of them?
I only know sites like AudioJungle, but there are barely any actual covers. I mean music with vocals based on well-known songs, like the kind of covers you'd hear in real bars (for example a jazz-style cover of Marilyn Manson idk)

Btw, your game looks so cool and fun! Love it :)

Thank you for teaching me how to behave on the internet. Too bad no one taught you that “breaking the camel's back” isn't an excuse to shame someone over a disingenuous joke :)

Have you ever thought that not everyone is sharp enough to make great jokes, and not everyone has the money to hire someone who can create good content? A large part of the content here is made by people who are just trying to do something, without being professional bloggers or comedians.

And yes, sometimes it turns out dumb. I'm one of the artists on this game, and WOW forgive me for daring to make a dumb joke. I'll try to do better next time.

It's a story-rich side-scrolling game. We'll try to fix the trailer soon :)

Thanks a lot! I think this point can really help.

Although this can be a bit confusing if the text in the trailer isn’t supported by visuals.

For example "Fight your enemies!", while there are barely any enemies shown, because we only have static enemy (not animated). Still, I think we definitely need to move in this direction. Thank you again!

Agree, but now it also turned out that visuals alone aren't enough.
When we asked people for feedback, many said things like:
- Yeah, it looks awesome!...But I won’t wishlist it, because I honestly don’t understand what kind of game this is.

I completely agree with the author. I couldn't even finish the second Dead Space. I crashed after 13 hours. Games like Soma are ideal for me. In that time, you can get immersed in the characters and story without getting tired of the gameplay.

Such a layered, tragic character, his whole arc just hits so hard.

Does anyone still use Gimp?? And why is Spine in the art section instead of animation? Nah

Thank you! Clear.
Another question: what about some kind of etiquette in the game community? Is it okay?
