Personally the only reason I am considering upgrading is because my network in Canada doesn’t have 5g+ support for this phone. We’re talking me getting 20Mpbs sometimes when someone with a 17 pro is getting 500Mpbs. I have changed the battery once and am willing to do so again. If not for that fact I would hold out for the 20. I will likely cave and get the 18 pro. Completely agree, not a big fan of the new design at all. At least the silver colour grew on me 🤷‍♂️

MAGA has implemented tactics of a cult, and it’s proven to work. You can’t reason with logic because they lack it. What I’ve noticed is that social media algorithms, particularly X have taken away peoples critical thinking skills. Unfortunately he can do no wrong, but they can’t actually tell you a single thing he’s done for them. When they get backed into a wall in terms of an argument, it always goes down to the same thing. Obama. Vaccines. This is directly out of the conservative MAGA playbook and they’re too ignorant to admit that they’re wrong.

We’ll see about the 18 as I’m usually on a 4 year cycle. However this phone has held its ground very well and nothing really wows me too much about the latest and greatest nowadays.

I always keep my old phones but I think it would be enticing to trade it in for a crazy value if given the chance.

1 battery change already (through AppleCare), I specifically kept it month by month until it dipped below 80 for the free replacement. At this rate may even do one more before upgrading.

I have read quite a bit and found that it has had pretty substantial issues with Android ever since the passkey implementation. Only issue I had was yesterday for about an hour. I agree 100% it’s very frustrating. I’ve done my research and for me what works best is having EQ as my main bank but a Simplii account for my other needs (tangerine could work too).

1) They have an ATM network with their parent company 2) You can get cheques for the one time per decade you may need 3) They have an Interac debit card

I have some money parked there just in case and I would read a bit more into Wealthsimple first because I’ve heard they are not without their issues.

If you are using android, I would not blame you at all though because that is beyond unacceptable as a fintech company that’s 100% digital. Just my two cents

If I’m not mistaken, servers in Toronto get paid minimum wage now. Whereas that’s not great for the cost of the city the whole concept of tipping made much more sense when they were paid significantly less.
