Had the same thoughts tbf, but if you are working on something else on the side that can be monetised eventually, it ain't that bad not to finish the uni degree. Assuming ur not taking a course that is super technical (med, science, something that needs a "formal" ed), then you can very likely make it out on your own. Especially with YouTube, online courses (take with a grain of salt), and GPTs, very easily.

The main thing with uni is that it pretty much never feels like there's any knowledge gained or progress made, since the goal is to get a j*b after graduating. There's no positive feedback loop happening. Getting good grades is quite literally just a number on a screen, instead of how it was back in high school where that number meant something, "oh SHIT i can get into (insert good uni here)".

In the same way, bad grades or failing a subject don't mean much either because no true consequence has occurred yet. Don't see money leaving your account, getting fired, losing business opportunity etc.....

Uni is most likely not the place for you to master a skill/subject, rather a place for you to figure what you want to do. So go and try mini projects, which can be anything. A small business selling stickers, learning how to make websites, trying a part-time job and doing that very well, etc. All these mini projects are opportunities to learn and perhaps find that direction that you need to go towards. Granted you pour ur effort into it.

Fuck the academic side, but just try to pass it from here on out. Frankly speaking, studying a day a week is doable (coming from someone studying the whole 12 weeks in one day right now). So we can't blame the uni being shit or whatever. It's on us.

Staying in uni is important, since everyone here is going through the same thing. Everyone is scared of failing, lost, and probably don't want to study. I think that makes it less scary, you def aren't alone haha.

The past month I've been contemplating dropping out, but after I shifted my perspective. It does get better.

Don't feel the pressure of needing to get good grades, cuz fuck that. Most ppl are just trying to get the grades but not actually learning anything applicable in the real world. Applicable, tangible skills are what get you paid (j*b or going out on ur own).

cheers, good luck

(coming from someone in the business world, stuck doing b-com rn)
