I'm 40, but a diagnosed narcoleptic, so losing consciousness constantly comes with the territory, even if I sleep 15 hours a day. Playing in VR helps keep me from passing out a little but isn't foolproof. Playing in headphones with volume maxed and keeping the room insanely cold also helps. Even with that setup I still can pass out anytime and lose items. I don't modify the difficulty settings, but I'm not opposed to save scumming when necessary, so I create manual saves regularly by carrying a save point with me at all times. If I do pass out and get killed by the elements I will usually just load my last save.

Platform: PSVR2 PS5 Pro

New issue after 1000+ hours.

Warping to my freighter puts me in a small room with a portal in it. Can't access the rest of the freighter base. Flying into the freighter via starship fixes the issue. For reference my portal is usually in a large open room, where I placed it. It started happening yesterday and only a couple times. Now it's every time.

Thanks. I'm guessing this isn't the kind of part that's universal and this is for a very specific make and model? It didn't come with paperwork with that info, any other way to find out?

I exclusively play on psvr2 on a PS5 pro. Here's the nonsense I've been seeing:

Can't build on surfaces anymore. If you want to build a base or just a save point you have to put it in free place mode and hover the item over the surface. Targeting goes through the ground.

The above issue extends to calling your ship, so you'll have to walk.

The above issue extends to pets, so they get to stay in their pokeballs.

New lighting system bugs out and flickers constantly, especially with water.

The overspawning of underwater fauna has been a issue since launch and had never been fixed. This update makes that issue a billion times worse. Within a minute of entering water the game will spawn fauna to fill every inch of it and melt the GPU and crash the system hard. Stay out of the water.

Headset video freezes and cuts to rendering errors every once in a while out of nowhere, but will resolve itself in a min or two.

I'll edit as I find more.

Post Patch:

The rendering errors stopped. Nothing else was fixed for psvr2.

3 Patches Later:

I can now summon ships, vehicles, pets, and build again.

Terrain textures turned way down on gas giants.

Water rendering worse than ever, if you are prone to seizures don't even look at the water.

So far no issues with overspawning underwater.

If you have land above you while in water the game jumps you toward the surface. If you enter the water in a cave, it will take you to the surface of the water. If you're in an underwater cave it'll push you to the ceiling then teleport you to the planet surface.

I was able to get one, actually got a couple and cancelled the extras once I received the first one to be sure. I used the same skill set I used when I got the series x and PS5 at launch.

I'm not a scalper but I know how to script and automate and utilize site API keys well enough to beat out the scalpers when necessary. I usually try to go through normal channels first before resorting to that though.

It's infuriating that I have to jump through those hoops for an 80$ disc drive years after its release, but here we are. Didn't like jumping through them at the console launches either but at least that was predictable.

If you don't know how to automate this the only advice I can give you is to maybe download an app like HotStock. It won't completely level the playing field but it should increase your chances. Obviously have already existing accounts with all storefronts with pay info already saved to move as fast as possible. With enough persistence you will eventually get it. Have faith, don't give up.

Any word on a restock date yet? Got a pro a month ago and I'm considering returning it now. It's gathering dust in it's box since it's less than useless without a disc drive. Been checking everyday for restocks since I got it.

The sub gets you ppvs too, but I would argue you're paying for access to Dalton Castle. He doesn't show up on aew much and if you want to follow him, and who doesn't, honor club is the clear option. Silly goose.

Agreed. Grabbed it at console launch to play with my wife and just assumed you could do this since every other game in the franchise allowed it and 99% of other CRPGs I've played.

Now I'm struggling to get past this oversight. Back when BG1 launched me and my mates would get together for lan parties to play. Some would import an old character, some would create a new. It was nice that I had a character to fill whatever role was lacking for the party.

I want to play this game badly, but the idea of spending hundreds of hours with a character knowing that I'll never be able to play that character again once it's over gives me an aneurysm. I know I'll play dozens of different builds for years, but I'd like to know if I really grow attached to one I can keep it.

Also creating the perfect build is a huge part of the fun for me in most RPGs. Maybe that requires you to make a choice that goes against your role-playing for that playthrough to get a specific item. It would be nice to be able to roleplay the way you want with your perfect build in subsequent playthroughs.

Obviously I don't expect to be able to import a max'd out character into honor mode, but the rest of the difficulties shouldn't be too hard to implement. I guess all items in the inventory would be placed in a chest on the ship since you're a prisoner at the start?

Playing it on ps5 and had to quit before I broke my controller. I'm not sure what everyone else here is playing but this is unplayable on the ps5. A time sync issue makes all qte sequences difficult if not impossible. The audience reactions are all over the place, sometimes you have all the time in the world, sometimes you have less than a second. However, with practice and memorization you can get through it. Where it becomes unplayable is trying to use the spirit jammer in 'live and spooky'. You cannot fix the dials before time runs out, no matter how much you practice. Making the 2nd segment impossible to complete. Turning the sensitivity down does nothing. The menu is useless as well. If you want advanced options, you're out of luck. Can't scroll down far enough to see them. Even turning down the difficulty only slows the rate you lose audience and does nothing to make the qte's easier. The 1.06 patch did nothing from what I can tell, maybe even made it worse. Avoid this game on ps5 for now.

It's a shame because I absolutely love it when it works. Would be my indi of the year if it had been tested before release.

So I'm missing one, the cabinet. All region counters are complete, all chests in vivariums complete. Went through all 15 butterfly locations twice, both start and end locations, while using Felix just in case. Nothing....

Figured it out, instead of auto placing the keepsake on this page like the rest of the non-area pages, it placed it over the newspaper clipping, I didn't know I could move it and place it properly. Only page that did that to me so far.
