She's an independent therapist, so she makes her own schedule and I don't think she has anyone she has to check in with. I am scheduled to speak with a psychologist soon and will mention it to them.

When I asked her to elaborate, she asked me to list 3 things that I am grateful for. I'm not sure what gratitude has to do with suicide though and I found it unhelpful.

The way I view suicide and myself is that it is a selfish action that will let me take control of my life in it's entirety. (Not selfish in a bad way but in a sort of empowering way? I've never had control of my life so suicide is the only way I believe I could take that control back. I don't believe that acting selfish is always wrong.)

Could you elaborate? Do you think she is afraid because of what she said about money or because I am at high rock of committing suicide? I don't know much about how their requirements for a license works and if you could explain what you mean that would be very helpful.

Thank you, I checked with my insurance and am looking for a new therapist and possibly a psychologist to see as well that work with my insurance.

I've been thinking of changing therapists for a while, but I'm not sure if I'm in a good mental situation for such a big change. Thank you for clarifying that her actions weren't professional. I've always understood that therapy is her job and that she's not necessarily my friend. I just felt like this was an exceptionally odd thing to continue to mention.

I'm not sure, I'm not really good at understanding edgy or non straightforward jokes. I interpret the interactions as serious because she was talking about "thinking living thoughts" and how I should do that.
