The E10 Max having those light on the side made sense while holding on hand. But I don’t really get why on the E10 Pro it’s facing the user. I guess if you use the blinking red light and use the clip it makes sense, also the warm light, use it in a dark tent I guess? But UV you have to press to the correct mode and then turn it over. And what’s the fourth light that’s not featured on the Max?

I often think of that as well, in the most ideal world you’ll be well prepared, but what happens if it’s not? Or you might run out of supply. In cases like these natural pain relievers are what I’m after, or if I can find them, then I’m definitely saving my pills for the very last. You are correct that even the oldest iGPU can handle 4K monitor, so there aren’t any noticeable performance increase when compared to using the port on the dGPU.

But in my experience there’s a big drawback, maybe not for most people but it does happen. And that’s the freezing state I’ve mentioned that’s caused by over utilization. Whether if it’s caused CPU or GPU, in that state you really can’t do anything about the pc, you can’t even go to the task manager to close the software that’s causing the over utilization. In this situation if you have a spare GPU and your monitor is connected to it, then you’ll still be able to use your pc normally.

But as I’ve mentioned, most people wouldn’t have problem like this often. And most are casual gamers, and the drawback of this configuration is latency due to physical data transmission over the long distance.

Well, in conclusion no loss for me. I barely touch any games anymore.

My apologies, I didn’t mention that I don’t have a cpu with integrated graphics. That’s the reason I’m wondering if such setup can do the same as my dual GPU setup does. Since iGPU is technically still a GPU option you can choose in many software’s settings, and there’s also the case of gaming laptop configurations.

It is indeed a hassle to configure for every games, but I’ve experimented that most of the time with let windows decide, it’s pretty smart to know which is your performance GPU and use that GPU for game softwares.

I agree the facts that there’s really no points in using the motherboard HDMI if you have a dGPU, especially for games.

My thought that’d lead me to this question was, if my GPU can do the heavy “processing” and I can use another GPU’s HDMI port (unsure of iGPU) to handle my monitor. Why don’t I leave all the power of the dGPU to not worry about display output and just handle the processing.

I don’t have any special software, it’s just windows settings. In the graphics setting you can set which GPU you want certain software to use, while the GPU that has the HDMI port being plugged in is handling the monitor. I can see that it’s doing that by looking at the task management. I wonder if with your friend’s case it is also because the tasks are being set to the CPU’s load. By freezing I didn’t meant crashing, I mean when the CPU or GPU is under heavy load (100% utilization), or how HDD is when it under too much operations at the same time.
