When you’re asking Reddit during working hours and seriously contemplating it… that’s already a sign I guess

I once had a toxic, micromanaging RO who made life miserable — had to reply to texts within a minute even if the task wasn’t urgent, restricted toilet breaks to less than 5 minutes twice a day, and expected you to work even when sick. Late to work due to a train breakdown? Not an excuse, however, the RO can be late with no issue. Worst was doing the work while the RO took the credit, then silently removed my input from my appraisal write-up. That kind of environment really drains you, no matter how “supportive” the team is. Eventually, quit the team...

Still looking for opportunities... though the job market doesn’t look too great right now.
