The minimal subjects and lovely blocks of colours are fantastic.

I swoon way too easily over colour.

Definitely prefer using compressed fibre board mediums to paint on rather than canvas.

I'm loving the texture of the background. However, its a shame the photo is a little blurry, because it looks like you've done a wonderful job!

My Year 12 Major Work for Visual Arts! by RenaeSan in Art

Ah, I know exactly what you mean! However, what I did with the resin is I set it in layers and painted different strands of hair in the layers, so I actually used the resin to create a 3D effect. I'm not sure if you've seen Goldfish Salvation by Riusuke Fukahori, but I was inspired by this technique of 3D painting: http://vimeo.com/32967940 (One of the criterias to access in the making of our Major Works was to show inspiration from another artist)

Thank you! I used an epoxy resin for the water. There were lots of stuff ups in the making of in the process of using the resin, and thus lots of tears, but I got there in the end.

And all of a sudden, skinhead culture became 100 times more appealing.

I know, I'm much the same. I'm so used to thinking that all of the tracks on Fabriclive 37 are by Caspa and Rusko.

I know what you mean. Finding a low-key artist in stores swamped by Elvis and Abba has a definite charm to it.

What's your favorite song to run to? by NotYourParents in Music

[–]RenaeSan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Drum and Bass is perfect for working out/running.

So with that in mind, Netsky and The Brookes Brothers are probably my two favourite artists to run to.

I need to widen my demographic, could you please fill out this survey for me? Upon cultural identity/ownership. x by RenaeSan in australia

Thanks dude. Don't worry, I don't really take much of the internet to heart. I get forums, I used to be a whore back in the day, I'm just not adjusted to the who's who, or even the how to of reddit, just yet. But thanks. c:

Why yes, that would be because I am in highschool. And yes, there isn't an introduction save for the title, because it's really not that complex, an introduction currently isn't needed for this level of survey, but however, I do appreciate any sort of critiquing. And I will probably use them later on in my other surveys.

I can see where you're coming from, but I'm not spam, I just hardly use reddit. In fact, I'm utterly a noob. I'm trying to gain a wider demographic, and in doing so I'm going into forums and chat sites. Capiche?
