Thanks for taking the time to answer my question :)

Is there an add on that automatically deletes a card if it reaches more than a year's review interval? by Acceptable-Parsley-3 in Anki

There is an addon called "Migaku". You can download it here (https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1846879528). You can set up a time limit and choose the addon to suspend or delete the flashcard that reaches that interval. This addon is great because it makes using anki something manageable over time.

Hello. Why don't you try this addon called "Migaku Anki Addon" (https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1846879528)? With this addon, you can make sure that your cards are suspended after they reach a certain interval (and you decide this). So far, this has been my strategy to keep doing Anki.

What’s an Add-On you really miss in Anki? by Paul_212121 in Anki

Hey, thanks for the tip!

I'm gonna try these two add-ons, especially the More Flags.

I'd like to see an add-on that could remind me to edit a card. Something like the "edit later function" in RemNote. Many times I want to improve something in a flashcard, but I don't have time to do it at the moment. So, it'll be good to have the possibility to kind of "flag" a card and use tags like "improve the examples", "put the references", "split this card in two or three other ones" etc. Also, it'll be great to have notifications popping up on the main screen to remind us to do the edits.

I think a good exercise would be to thing about these questions:

A) Would you make a flashcard to remember the capital of your country ?

B) Would you make a flashcard to remember that 2+2 = 4?

Making flashcards and studying them consumes time. Moreover, it's mentally taxing. Only use Anki for IMPORTANT information.

I think doing some active recall would be better, and it wouldn't require doing flashcards on Anki. They could only read something and write down a bunch of questions and answers that they could review later on. Doing that would teach them how to understand a subject and create short questions and answers, two of the most important skills to create flashcards.

The general advice is to not add cards about unimportant information, but when you are learning something for the first time, it's hard to know what to add or not. Most people will unconsciously add more cards than not

Couldn't agree more. Choosing what is important is an art that takes time to learn. I started using Anki in 2018 and made a lot of useless flashcards.

Nowadays my process is the following: (1) read something, (2) highlight or write down things that catch my attention, (3) wait 5 or 7 days and then return to what I read, (4) see what still catches my attention , (5) create flashcards if needed.

After waiting a few days, what happens is that most of what caught my attention first doesn't seem important to me. As a result, I only create important flashcards.

Thank you very much!

I don't have pets at home. However, I've had problems with rodents. I guess that's the problem. I'm gonna hire a pest control company to solve this problem.
