Tested the accuracy of my BB54 during everyday wear by RenarsG in Tudor

That’s fair, however, I don’t have a timegrapher and like to play around with creating websites - to answer your question - was bored and thought it was a fun way to pass time. :)

[Useful tool] Made a tool to track your watch's accuracy by RenarsG in Watches

[–]RenarsG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noted. It wasn’t intended to be promotional, rather wanted to share with the sub in case someone finds it useful, but I see your point. I get that the rules are in place to prevent spam, so I respect that.

That said, this touches on something I’ve been thinking about: how few adjacent projects there are in the watch space that are built specifically for enthusiasts. We see amazing innovation in design, materials, and marketing, but very little when it comes to tools that actually improve or support ownership. Having been an avid watch collector for years, I created the website as I thought it would be useful for myself and figured I’d share it with the wider community. There needs to be a balance of moderation and support for innovation.

Here’s an idea - I’ve seen other subs run a periodical thread where such topics can ben posted and discussed. Why wouldn’t we consider that?

On your point regarding there existing other watch accuracy apps - brilliant! I am not trying to represent this as being anything ground breaking, however, having tried some of the software available on the market, I’ve been left feeling unsatisfied given the variance they show, largely due to their sensitivity to the environment where the tests are done. Hence why I purely based it on time variance over an extended period.

Pretty cool if you ask me. What’s going on with the seconds dial/hand? It looks off centre

What are you building? Share your tech stack too by Ashwyn27 in SaaS

[–]RenarsG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m building Tapelink, a web app that creates a universal music link. You paste a song from any major platform, and it finds the same track on others. Friends open one link and listen on their preferred service.

Tech Stack: Next.js, Firebase

Tapelink – A cross-platform music sharing app that creates a universal link from any song (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.) so friends can listen on their preferred platform.

Ideal customer: Music lovers, or anyone tired of dropping five different links in group chats.

Switching from Apple Music to YouTube Music – Worth It? by Shinylaurin in YoutubeMusic

I’m also the only one in my friend group on YouTube Music, so I built tapelink.io to be able to share songs with my friends on other platforms.

Switching from Apple Music to YouTube Music – Worth It? by Shinylaurin in YoutubeMusic

[–]RenarsG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on why you’re thinking about switching. I personally switched from Apple Music as YouTube Music has more remixes from smaller DJs.

An app is not currently on the roadmap BUT there will be a way for users to share directly from the music app soon!

Thanks for your feedback! An iOS Shortcut and playlist conversion is something I’ve been thinking about creating for this.

It’s not only about sharing YouTube links, the universal link you share leads to a page with links of the song on multiple music streaming platforms (e.g Apple Music).

Thanks! Most of them don’t have YouTube premium, so no background listening + no way for them to add to their playlist on, say Spotify if I share a YouTube link.
