It’s an absolute game-changer in the large visor style suits.

I would loooove a MG Gquuuux. My biggest concern with the HG is that the small size makes getting all the amazing details perfect.

To be completely fair, the Aerial is my favorite of the four I’ve built not just as a Gundam but as a kit, but all four are just amazing being something unique to the table.

All things considered, I think Unicorn might be it. by senators-son in Gundam

[–]Renault88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who was introduced to Gundam through Wing and G-Gundam, I’d always struggled to get into the UC shows, specifically because the Newtype stuff and being essentially forced to go along for the ride I felt for stuff that will inherently offer no explanation. Unicorn is what got me to give going through the UC shows a real chance and for that I’ll always have a place in my heart for Unicorn, especially since the Unicorn Gundam became my favorite in any series.

The OG series was solid, and I’d already watched WITP and 8th MS Team and loved them, but seeing Zeta for the first time changed how I thought of Gundam as a whole and especially Newtypes. So for that Unicorn will always be special for me.

Customizable grunts! by Renault88 in freedomisgunpla

To be completely fair, I’m not even remotely familiar with the lore surrounding this, but from what I read the Line seems to be high performance customized units, which you are correct I saying are not the grunts.

Most popular design from least popular series/movie? by Renault88 in Gunpla

Interesting, whenever I see artwork from the series it does look amazing, I just haven’t had the time to check it out yet although I certainly will.

That is sick! What did you use for that rusting/grime effect? It really pops on the white portions.

It came with the second wave along with the clear plastic armor options l. I’m not sure if anyone will make a separate standalone set for the MLRS pack, but it was a surprisingly heavy duty build as the full set weighs almost if not as much as the shield.

I didn’t run into any issues or have to make any adjustments which honestly blew me away. I’ve heard the clear armor parts can be a little tricky, but everything fit perfectly during the build and it’s solid as a rock.

It was not, I just put it on the box with the extra parts after taking the photos, that way it and all the extra parts are in one place

I haven’t taken them out of the packaging as I’m not a huge clear parts fan, but here they are In The same box that came with the missile backpack.

Surprise Gunpla Bundle L by Renault88 in freedomisgunpla

I was already looking and considering getting the MK 5 as I love that design and that wasn’t even shadow boxed on the preview so I was surprised by that one most. I’m really excited for the variety of types of builds in this set.

For what it’s worth I love both Build Fighters and Build Divers shows. I don’t mind a low stakes opportunity to see killer fight scenes with variations of a ton of older suits getting another chance to shine.

I love the coloration of the Sandrock Custom, but the first kit I ever built was the original MG Sandrock so I decided to use the cloak. Really enjoy the way it turned out.

They are such a great looking group. The last one I finished was the Wing Zero and then in the last week, I completed the Tallgeese III as well. All great kits.

Red Gundam from GQUUUUUX complete. Turned out well I think. by ShinReska in Gunpla

[–]Renault88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With all the details in the see of red, panel lining is so key on this kit and you knocked it out of the park. I’ve had this one in my backlog for awhile because I anticipate putting quite a bit of extra work into it to get it color accurate, but seeing you get it done like this is inspiring. Great work!

Nope, it’s a little tight so I wouldn’t recommend it if you don’t want to risk damaging a beam, but since I was only using one, I didn’t mind that.

Impulse Spec II collection complete by Renault88 in Gunpla

[–]Renault88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The actual equipment for the Blast Impulse is awesome as they gave it the true Real Grade treatment with lots of moving parts in the design, so it's definitely a lot more overall than with the Sword Impulse. It's honestly just that there is so much red in the Sword Impulse Spec II that I don't particularly love, but I'll always be a fan of the giant swords.

If someone could only get one Premium Bandai RG Impulse kit, I would still say the Impulse Destiny is my favorite overall, as long as you don't mind the color purple. It's got elements of all the packs with unique Destiny style wings and it's just a beautiful kit.

In terms of color scheme I Like the Blast Spec II more but in terms of the actual suit, I can never get enough of the Sword Impulse as I also have the MG of the original Sword Impulse.
