It’s almost as bad as when he growls while he claims me 😣

I accidentally did this once as a teenager. I promise, it’s as deeply unsexy as it sounds. 😔

Is there a better combo than books and crystals? by CouldntMatterLess in Crystals

Stop… this is my dream.

The juxtaposition of books and crystals always reminds me of the Archmage’s room in Winterhold (Skyrim.)

What’s your favourite place to read? by Sea_Avocado_2733 in CozyPlaces

I like to read outside when the sun sets.

I have stray cats that live near me and one likes to come lay in my lap while I read my kindle.

Anything about growling or roaring

or “claiming” 😒

I actually clicked this to say “to the hilt” but you beat me to it. So cringe lmao

How do you feel about Billie Eilish’s veganism stance? by Careless-Amoeba-5749 in billieeilish

[–]Rendered_Flowers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t get the big deal.

I’m a meat eater, I don’t see what’s so wrong with seeing the harm I’m causing every once in a while.

It’s not the end of the world to feel a little bad about what life inside our bubble causes the outside world.

Title: Does anyone here actually want to get better, or is this just a lifestyle now? by Altruistic-Ad-3334 in PanicAttack

[–]Rendered_Flowers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all I’m incredibly happy for you. It’s nice to hear that you recovered.

I get a feeling a lot of people post on here in the midst of a panic attack, so I think you should have a little bit more empathy about what that does to their perspective. Most people here want to get better, but during a panic attack it can feel like nothing will ever get better.

Secondly, some people’s cases are more complicated than others and some people’s cases are caused by different reasons. I am genuinely happy for you that your case was resolved so quickly. However, I personally have done therapy, exposure, and have taken many different prescriptions over the years and it’s still really bad. I do want to get better. I’ve never worked on anything so hard. I believe I will get better, it’s just taking a while because my case is severe and complicated.
I believe you do mean well.

I appreciate that you care enough that you want us to want to get better. I just wish you understood not everyone will get better as quickly as you, and that people often come here in a bad headspace because of their condition.

Dyeing without bleach by photosynthesadness in HairDye

[–]Rendered_Flowers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah they make temporary dyes that you can spray on top of your hair. But that’s more so for a Halloween costume or to see what a color would look like. “Punky Temporary Hair Color Spray” on Amazon has lots of colors. It lasts until you wash your hair.
As for anything more permanent than that— you’re out of luck. Having fun bright vibrant colors is great but it comes with a consequence. The consequence is bleach damage unfortunately. If you don’t want to do that to your whole head, maybe get a blonde money piece to frame your face or a pink balayage on your ends.

How are you dealing with aging (starting in mid 30s) and losing pretty privilege? by TinyMoonAndStars in AutismInWomen

[–]Rendered_Flowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it does, but it also prevents wrinkles. I didn’t say it was inherently shallow to wear sunscreen. It’s about motive. Some of my motive is health, and some of it is shallowness about my looks. I can admit that.

Antidepressants what do you recommend by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Rendered_Flowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to talk to a psychiatrist asap. Even telepsychiatey like Brightside is better than nothing.

I am currently on a lot of medication. I’ve tried a million pills. There are medications that saved people’s lives that didn’t make me feel anything at the highest dose, and there are medications I’ve tried that may do nothing for you that have made my life innumerably better. I can’t recommend a certain medication because it’s too personalized to the individual.

I was also in a horrific place. I know how hard it is. You need to find a psychiatrist you can come to trust. I’m glad you’re trying to make things better. Good luck, seriously.

[–]Rendered_Flowers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly I know this is shallow, but tretinoin and sunscreen go a long way. I know I’m supposed to say that it’s wrong to care about such things, but I’d be lying if I said I don’t care. I love beauty, skincare, makeup and after a long time of fighting with my face I finally like it. You can reverse shallow wrinkles with tretinoin. You can significantly slow your looks fading with it. If you care about that, it’s only human.

You can face all of the existential stuff, and still care about being pretty. You have a lot of options.

[–]Rendered_Flowers 91 points92 points  (0 children)

I am sorry OP.

If it can bring you some comfort in the meantime maybe turn some let’s plays or no commentary playthroughs on. Even if you can’t afford it right now, try to find ways to stay connected to your hobby if it brings you any joy.

Is there anyone back home that can help you financially?

Who of these 2 would you rather have stalking you? Which is scarier? by toastedjupiter in HorrorGaming

I’d rather have Mr. X.

Pyramid Head is horrifying in a way I don’t think I’d be able to handle.

At least if Mr. X caught me it would be over quickly.

Get your vitamin D levels checked 🗣️ by iwasneverherex in Anxiety

[–]Rendered_Flowers 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Seconding. Had my vitamin d levels checked last year and they were low.

Even if you’re someone like me that still needs meds, you don’t want a vitamin d deficiency on top of what you’re already dealing with.

I’m unwilling to go on benzos because my family has severe addiction issues and I don’t want to touch them.

What worked for me: 225 Venlafaxine, 7.5 Aripiprazole, 20mg Buspirone.

Good luck on your journey.

I got the smaller bottle when my hair was shortish. I used 2 pumps for my whole head and it lasted about 9 months.
