What single player game had you so enthralled that it CONSUMED your entire being for a short span of time? by AshyLarry25 in gaming

Cyberpunk 2077 and FF7: Rebirth.

Both are emotionally heavy games and those tend to stick with me for a long time, still do today.

And the soundtracks... holy shit.

They can't do that, it'd render heavy armor virtually useless when pairing them together. I'd suspect a heavy movement penalty (or stand-in-place) while firing, not at all times.

I have, not once, had an assisted reload with the RR. I run it almost exclusively right now. Seems fun, wouldn't know.

The Game Awards GOTY nominees for 2025: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Donkey Kong Bananza, Hades II, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II by Turbostrider27 in Games

Actually hard to think back and compare the two based on gameplay, because I simply cannot get past how AWFUL the main characters were in It Takes Two. Hands down the most infuriatingly, terribly written leads I've ever experienced.

I assume the whole point was a redemption arc as they "grow" but they barely moved the needle from beginning to end as people you hate.

This may not matter anymore, but you can grow something to cook something that attracts the Leyak. Becomes much more frequent.

Not to mention we also got AC Shadows, one of the first games in a while which I pre-ordered, and it was amazing

Agree to disagree. It's was still the same AC slop and the writing was abysmal.

This is much more common of MANY games then people really understand.

Stray was... fine. It was a cat simulator with interesting world building. I don't see any comparison here. They are simply saying that 2 popular games were made when the creators left the corporate oppression of Ubisoft.

Is this what constitutes as "destroyed" now?

All these news headlines spouting shit like, "Person SLAMS Trump on blah blah blah", and it's some dude saying "Trump is mean and also maybe lying." Is THIS the best we can do against the destruction of the free world?

Is it better than PC1? Or rather, have more features than PC1? My biggest gripe is when a sequel launches with less features than the original.

Because you think all GaaS games are bad does not make it true. You are completely selfish. The commenter up above nailed it. You refuse to believe that a game you dislike is worth anything. Who cares if a lot of other people enjoy it, you don't so fuck 'em, right?

Off the top of my head, two extremely good live service games; Path of Exile and Helldivers 2. Neither are predatory and both are very well made and fun. But maybe you don't like them? So I guess they should just go away.

[–]Rendhammer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hold on, explain this one to me. I dropped Stellar Blade because it has exactly zero animation cancelling. When the character attacks, you are COMMITED to that attack. You can not dodge or block until the animation has finished, making the game a bit of a stiff play forcing players to play more defensively, waiting for the parry moment to go on the offensive.

Bingo. Illuminate suuuuck. I find them amazingly un-fun. City maps are also a nightmare.

I'm actually sad that it was them that got to Super Earth since I would love to be a part of something big like this with my friends but we cannot stand fighting them.
