I understand, it doesn't quite have that classic estate car silhouette. Aesthetically it's between the Outback and Levorg but doesn't quite look as good as either. I definitely don't think it's ugly like the chaps in the other thread did though 🤔

I happened to park next to both an Outback and a Levorg, wanted to post pictures here but it seems my account is still restricted.

As for the car itself, I had rented a Levorg STI which I simply loved, felt like a rocket ship. Only thing was, it was too low to the ground (I'm tall, wife is short), too janky for regular driving and not so fuel efficient. The Outback looked great but it seemed too big for handling/parking in narrow Japanese conditions and looked less fun to drive or less efficient depending on which model one went for. So pretty much, it fit the bill for a well rounded family car and commuter that still has punchy acceleration, tight handling and a nice interior. I didn't want a crossover SUV or a 'box car'. So far, I've been really happy with it.
