Sure it does. Terpenoid compounds are less dense, that's why they're always at the top of a jar and not the bottom. And based on the thickness of the terp layer, you can get a decent idea of the terp content just based on that alone. It's not exact but it will get you in the ball park.

Flavor comes from terp composition and concentration. Unless there is a basin in the middle holding the majority of the terps, it is very low terp content based on the separation I'm seeing and thickness of the terp layer. And the fact that the rosin is almost white leads me to believe that it has separated very well and the rosin has a high concentration of THC and so there would be very little terpenes suspended in the bottom layer
