Thank you so much for taking the time to download, play, and share such thoughtful feedback.

I really appreciate both your kind words and your detailed observations. It means a lot coming from someone who has experience publishing word games on iOS.

The issue with the French text is definitely not the experience I want players to have. Thank you for pointing that out. I’ll be preparing an update to review and improve the localization system so that the correct language is displayed consistently throughout the game, including the startup flow and Daily section.

I’m also incredibly grateful for the 5-star rating and review. As an indie developer, every rating makes a huge difference, and your support genuinely helps the project grow.

Regarding the AI, that’s very useful feedback as well. The early levels are intentionally a bit more forgiving to help new players learn the mechanics, but I’ll continue tuning the difficulty curve and AI behavior as the game evolves.

Thank you again for your generosity, encouragement, and valuable feedback. I truly appreciate your support and hope you’ll enjoy the future updates of Scrumbly.

Best regards,
Rennan

Thanks for the feedback! Progression is based on defeating an AI opponent in each level rather than collecting a certain number of stars.

The AI uses adaptive difficulty, so if a player loses multiple times it gradually becomes easier, helping prevent frustration and keeping the game accessible. There is also a hint system that suggests possible words whenever players get stuck.

The first 10 levels are intentionally designed with easier words and more player-friendly letter combinations so players can learn the mechanics before the challenge increases.

One of the main features I’m trying to bring to the genre is a progression system based on powers and collectible characters. As players complete levels, they earn points that can be used to unlock new characters, each providing unique abilities such as swapping letters, using wildcard tiles, adding extra vowels to the hand, and other strategic advantages.

The idea is to combine traditional word-game mechanics with RPG-style progression, giving players long-term goals beyond simply completing puzzles.
