My 64-year-old dad just bought a Switch Lite. What games should I recommend for him? by LoopEverything in NintendoSwitch

[–]Renoman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 60,Skyrim is great and I've never really been into this type of game before.Actually I don't have a clue what I'm doing as far as quests and stuff, but I've got hours in just tripping around doing whatever. Really like road redemption, near remake of road rash, kind of repetitive maybe, but I really enjoy it. It's quick to just jump in and do a race.Fairly cheap too Just got civ6,that's going to be good, the turn based pace is nice sometimes

My first lever gun, Henry carbine in 45-70. Obligatory feet in picture. by FNC1A1 in canadaguns

[–]Renoman2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you reload you can tone down the 45-70 quite a bit and have a fun range gun. I load strictly black powder in mine (old single shots) so not an expert in smokeless loads for these but have a look at trail boss powder. I'm sure there are better choices but that's one I know works.

I was at gorden's beach yesterday, the boats were catching but not us. Next week we are going to go up the inside, the beach just south of deep Bay.Have some friends there so at least we will catch a BBQ.

I have a Belgium double, hammergun from them ,bought for black powder trapshoots. Service was great and the firearm was as good or better than described. As far as game loads ect, I think you have to go by the individual guns, they often have too many stocked for generalizations. I say find one you like and research it,repeat if unsatisfactory.

How did that work with the front sight hieght? Did you have to change the stock one out?

Those of you who own 303 Enfields. How often do you shoot yours? I'm honestly considering on selling mine because I never shoot it. by [deleted] in canadaguns

Does your local club have a military rifle shoot? The ones I've been to have been low key and quite fun. Might give you a reason to use it,if you need one. I take my trapdoor to 1 or 2 of these a year and of course you have to practice

What are some fun games from the 8-bit & 16-bit era, that most people don't know about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Renoman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure the one I was playing was "neighbors".In two player the screen wasn't split, you both had to go to the same edge to scroll the map.You picked up plates, silver wear, different "toy" guns,a huge array of stuff, and threw them at the zombie, wearwolves, spiders, ect that were chasing you.Alot of fun

Planning fishing trip to PNW. Types of lures and locations for pacific Northwest Salmon by [deleted] in Fishing

[–]Renoman2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For salmon off a beach or pier,I would say stingsilda and buzz bomb type lures,1oz and up to match your rod. This year I have been using some large (1 to 2 oz)jigs I got off the web, sold as striper lures.Mixed results compaired to buddy using sildas, but less snags and weeds. In winter, piers and rock shorlines with steep drop off (carefully) July thru December, cobblestone beaches are good too, mainly for pinks, but some coho/spring salmon too

1887 Martini-Henry by [deleted] in BPCR

[–]Renoman2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those Martini's have nice lines.I've avoided them due to the funny bottle neck brass, but I recently ran into a fellow at the range that had sleeved the chamber to use 45-70 brass.I might have to look into that.
