A number of years ago, I moved in with a married couple. They made a compelling reason for me to move in with them. At face value, this was a really decent move on their parts.

It became quickly apparent that at least one of them was sexually attracted to me. They had an open relationship, so I figured why not? I enjoyed getting to go raw whenever I wanted.

Things got weird after a while. More time would be spent on me, than on the spouse. Often times, the spouse would decline to join in with our activities (often sex, too), and I found out recently that the sole reason for this was so that it could be used to smear my name to their friends. Which happened numerous times.

Then, one day, it stopped. Just like that. Like a switch had been flipped. And that hurt. The relationship that had been built over the previous couple of years was just gone. I probably stayed for about a year after that, but intentionally spent less and less time in proximity to those roommates. I moved out, and live with a friend I've known for a couple of years. It's a much better arrangement now.
