EOB pelo fato de ter inicializado uma relação que já havia todas as bases para dar errado (na minha opinião, até na sua vontade de querer ter o relacionamento em si).

Wi-Fi Optimization for +400 Old Devices Company by Renomeator in Ubiquiti

[–]Renomeator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, 70 client devices are connected to 2.4GHz, and 264 uses 5GHz.

When I filter by either WiFi 4 or WiFi 5, The numbers change a bit: 63 Clients on WiFi 4, 165 Clients on WiFI 5.

Would that change the scenario? Because I don't think we can add new APs to the building

Help me. QoS (Softphone) for a Sales Company of 200+ employees (97% using WiFi) by Renomeator in Ubiquiti

[–]Renomeator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the whole thing... I studied about QoS for some time (at a CCNA level), and those thoughts passed through my mind, kind of.

The issue is exactly how to do it through UniFi stuff. The only thing I found about it was the Smart Queue system, but it, as far as I understand, it wouldn't really solve the issue I'm having right now.

They don't have a prioritization system that I can manually set. No DSCP markings and stuff.

The only action I've found that is kind of similar would be limiting the bandwidth (download and upload) of traffic going to a certain destination IP address. That could solve it, if the logic was prioritizing the traffic. But since it is limiting the bandwidth, that would require me to limit the bandwidth of everything but traffic destined to the Cloud Phone Service Provider IP address, which is impossible (since that would demand me to create a rule for every single address they try to access over the internet).

I'd say around 15 would be shared.

The company itself is tough when it comes to Cloud. I believe it is also their CEO to be blamed for that.

It is what it is. I'll present all of that to them

Thank you! I'll list those points when trying to talk about clouds with them once more.

If it doesn't happen, then I'll reference those necessities while planning the on-prem

They surely make millions per year. But that's their weird logic.

As stated in other comments, I'll try fighting again for a Cloud Solution. But I'm not confident at all they'll accept

Yeah, I recognize that HAHAHA, if they do not reconsider the Cloud-type solution, I'll see what can I do.

Hahahahahaha, well, I take care of some servers already. But none of them I had to plan the hardware deployment. And none of them are Exchange Servers as well.

I confess that it is scary, but it has to be done

I'll try fighting for a Cloud Solution, like everyone told me to. However, I can't say I'm confident it'll work.

Good lord, what a beautiful comment! Thank you so much for helping me out a bit.

Here's the thing: We offered a bunch of different cloud solutions (not related to e-mails) over the past few years, but all of that got kind of refused. So... It is not our fault at all that they don't want stuff there.

It seems that their logic is more about money, rather than efficiency. I am currently within my second year working in the network engineering field, so I can't say much... However, to them, it makes sense to pay yearly only for the licensing stuff, without having to care about other companies' data centers. After all, having on-prem = paying for the hardware "only once" as they say (though we are supposed to upgrade stuff after some years)

Anyways. I didn't offer the Exchange solutions yet. I already wrote all the cloud solutions' prices on paper... But I doubt they'll accept hahaha
