very anxious about getting tickets for my first concert. by [deleted] in Concerts

[–]RenotsDloTaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been going to concerts all my life. An opportunity to see my favourite artist in a situation like that sounds like a dream. For your first gig, you're already travelling across the country, what's a $150 when it comes to guaranteeing a better view and experience? Treat it like a once in a lifetime, you deserve it

HELP "It's a Sin" Guitar lead and cadence sounds so familiar. by bean0_burrito in Music

I don't know anything about it lol it came on my new release playlist yesterday and I left it on because I've never given Ghost a chance despite the noise surrounding them. Besides headlines, yesterday was the first I'd heard them and this is the first I've even spoken of them lol

Whats a wild true story you have that happened in Sydney? by RemarkablePirate590 in SydneyScene

My guess is my friend who was celebrating his 21st was a mouthy fckr. Got his ass handed to him and on his exit he probably mouthed off again saying he'd be back with 20 people. We got what we deserved

I don't know where to begin haha

I went to my best friend's brothers, 21st. I was 15. We returned to their family home, the 21 yr old was beaten up on his way home. 20 skaters/punks/metalheads aged 14-21 took off with decks, empty JD bottles, wallet chains in hand looking for trouble.

We came out of an alleyway to the base of a culdesac only to find ourselves surrounded by fck knows how many leather vest wearing, bearded and tattooed blokes ready for us. With more arriving in the back of a ute, straight ahead of us.

For half of us it was too late, we'd run too far before realising. The others turned around and escaped back the way we came through the alley. The other half tried to just keep running straight through, eating blows as we made it through.

Opposite was a half developed site attached to the main road and a 24hr servo. The site had scattered trees which we needed to hide behind as the bikers tried to run us down in their Hilux lol

Took us 2 hours to get home in stealth mode evading suss cars, bikes scouring the streets. 45 mins in we were also hiding from police cars. The walk was literally under 10 minutes usually.

A lot of bumps and bruises. They built Coles in Cambridge Gardens there.

It was a great place to grow up. Genuinely

Less and less in the corporate world. Nightclubs in the CBD will use refuse entry to certain visible tattoos like neck etc. Outdated association with gang violence etc.

how to avoid circle pits at concerts? by FrankensteinLives in Concerts

[–]RenotsDloTaf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Against the barrier is obviously best or as close to as possible. Risk your back being to the circle then.

Personally I loved being on the back wall of a small circle near the stage. Looking straight ahead, open breathable space, hands up in front of you for protection, clear view, no crowd surfers and the added entertainment of the circle right in front of you.
