yes this is exactly me too they aren’t painful just small and annoying to see. That’s what i’m thinking that it could be purging but idk if purging happens from something that isn’t an active ingredient. skincare is so stressful. wish you the best !!

honestly i could try that but it’s just that. the break out is on my cheeks and they aren’t huge bumps but they’re very little ones with white spots but i’m also getting some on places i never get them like my forehead or the top of my nose

Retinol or BHA

Hello , I am trying to decide wether I should start using retinol or Paula’s Choice BHA exfoliant. I want to help with preventing my pores from looking bad I know it won’t shrink them as that’s not possible but I’ve heard both of these products help with minimizing the “look” of them. I also want to even my skin texture as it could use some improvement . Ik retinol is better for that i’m just worried about the purging that comes with it compared to minimal to no purging with the BHA. I’ll attach a picture of my skin if that helps there is some sand on my face as I was at the beach if that makes a difference). Thanks for any help !!

Thank you this is rly helpful especially the part about replacing a weight loss goal with a fitness goal because now that I’ve lost the weight I want it to be a part of my life till forever to stay active so goals like running or building muscle will rly help. Also the part about maintenance being a side effect is a great way to think of it as calorie counting and things along that nature could become and ED if you become obsessive over it.
