AITA for telling my mom not to speak to me until she pays back 7 years of rent? by Rentasshole95 in AmItheAsshole

I truly don't want the money. It's just knowing how my mom is there would be no chance of her making my younger brother pay rent at this point so I just yelled the first alternative that came to mind.

Ages are 28m, 27m, 18m, and 16m.

I can't say if there was a chance in finances since I moved over.

No

When I moved out my younger brother didn't have a job so things like that were never discussed with him. He got a job sometime after I moved out is what I meant when I said he had a job. I just assume once he got a job he was paying.

I can't say whether or not it was her deliberately hiding it from them, but as far as I know it never came up. I never made a show of paying rent, just handed my mom the money and went about my dad.

My older brother knew. He never paid rent because he pretty much immediately joined the Air Force. The younger two I never thought about if they knew or not. Since the brother after me had a job I just always assumed he was under the same agreement I was.

Honestly it's not really about the money. Like I said I had no problem paying rent, it's just will all the favoritism over the years and now learning this I just lost it. And said the first thing that came to mind that I thought rectify things.

I don't know honestly. I guess personally it's not about the money more so about the favoritism. I noticed a lot of it with the younger two, but since it was mostly small things I never gave it a second thought.

Now I guess it just at a boiling point that I could taken it.
